Posting a topic here that might be interesting or maybe not if it's too personal and people won't care to respond. The question is- How much do you owe on your RV today and about how much is it worth or would you realistically hope to sell it for and how long have you had it? We paid about $10,000 (hard to tell when you traded something in)for our 1999 small 5th wheel in 2002. Now the book value is maybe $2500-$3500.It still serves our needs well and we will keep on with it until we find a replacement too good to pass up.

2006 Outback 27 RSDS
We also have with us two "fur babies". A Basset Hound and a Chihuahua mix. Both are rescue dogs.
I have never figured out with depreciation on an RV being what it is, how any one could afford to finance one. Between the debt service, depreciation, maintenance, taxes, tires, up keep, high campground fees, outrageous fuel prices, constant replacement parts and insurance and the very limited time one gets to use them, there is just no way. Yet I do it, except I don't finance.
Owe $1500, worth maybe 5K. Actually, paying for a depreciating asset with future dollars that are worth less makes more sense than liquidating appreciating assets to pay for it.
