We really liked the Jellystone in Cosby TN. down the road from Smoky Bear. very nice place, owners are extremely nice and friendly. I know it`s not on your list, but I thought I would throw that one out there.

We stayed 12 days at River Plantation last fall and thought it was a great c.g.
Our site, which was huge, backed on to the river. If your boys like to fish, it would be a great spot for you. There are "back" ways to get to Dollywood. Ask for directions at the front desk. This c.g. was quite convenient - about l mile to W.M.

We just returned from Riveredge RV park. There was some slight road noise at our site (which backed up to the creek) but it was nothing that kept us awake. The pool and hot tub were both immaculate. The game room and laundry areas were very nice and had cameras located in both so as to monitor your older kids. The trolly came right through the CG often throughout the day. The sites are close to one another but I think most of them in the area are that way. We were centrally located between Dollywood and Gatlinburg. I do not know if the CG offers any activities in season (we were there off season). We intend on going back this fall. Enjoy your trip!

Pine Mountan Rv Park. Close to DW. Across the main Rd from PF to GB. Quiet and not far off of the beaten path. Very clean. Pool. Access to hotel facilities across street. Trolley stop.

River Plantation is definitely at the top of my list. $39 less Good Sam's makes them hard to beat. Pine Mountain is also very nice, but more of a nice parking lot style cg though. Still one to consider.

Pine Mountain is def a consideration. I thought it said "no pets", but that was another cg I guess. It is pricey at $52 a night for the creekside sites.
The lady at River Plantation said it's quite the uphill walk about 2 blocks to the trolley stop. Not sure how far that really is.
Pine Mountain has a trolley stop at their front gate, but they're $367.71 for a week versus $309.77. I guess being closer is worth some $.

I will give my 2 cents worth. Twin Creek is nice, but seems more geared to adults. Don't remember noise being a problem there. If you are mostly going to be doing activities in PF, I would pick a cg there to avoid driving down from Gatlinburg each day in all the traffic. When we stayed at River Plantation, we thought the sites had more room than most in that area. We did hear the noise from the cement plant. It woke us on several mornings. They also were having trouble with their swimming pool at the time, so I would be sure that problem has been repaired. The walk to the trolley is up a very small hill. I don't think that would be a problem for you unless someone has difficulty with walking. That cg seemed to have several activities geared for children when we were there. We have also stayed at Claboughs. Nice pool with lazy river geared for kids. Trolley comes right in to cg. Not alot of room between sites, but we like the location there. Hope this helps. All have their pros and cons.

Cool. We have no issues walking anywhere. My kids are 13 and 9. Cement plant....hmmmm. We won't be driving at all. I know from experience that's just nuts. Trolley or walk. Thanks, I'm up in the air between Pine Mtn and River Plantation.

We stayed in River Plantation several years ago. We had one of the sites that backed up to the river. It was a nice little campground. The shuttle to Dollywood did a loop right through the CG and the driver dropped us off right in front of the RV. Much appriciated after a long day of shelping around the amusement park.

Liking Bear Cove Village too, just not sure if there's as much for the kids to do there. My younger son loves to fish, the other rides his bike everywhere. Bear Cove is quite a bit less expensive at $280 less Good Sam's. I think no matter which I chose, we'll have a blast.
