Up here in Canada the ecoboost is rated at 22/31 miles per gallon. Better milage up here. Must be our own oil

You sure that's not km's per gallon?

UK mpg, their gallon is slightly larger.

Dang, you all sure do get your panties in a wad over a truck ... really? Pick your wedgies and argue about something important - like the most efficient way to make/eat a s'more with those ginormous marshmallows.

Interesting to look at the Specs on the F150. Driving around in my Silverado 1/2 ton 4x4 looking up at the driver in the F150, and saying, dang thats a big truck. While the F150 specs are likely for a 4 door and mine is a reg cab. I still calculate the F150 at at least 1,000 lbs heavier. (GVWR 1,400 lbs more but payload only 400 lbs more 1750 vs 2150) Granted driving down an EPA Flat track the extra 1,000 lbs might not effect gas mileage but you have to wonder about driving in the hills. This summer I am gonna look for an F150 pulling a trailer similar to mine on my way to BC and see if we can't compare a few fill ups. Good on Ford if real world mileage is that good.

I just read 5.5 pages of this, then I realized something that's confusing me. Okay, I am tired from a full day of manual labor, but even so:
About 4 posts in, someone noted the EB is 50 HP over the 5.3, which I know GM rated at 285 HP. So the EB is doing what, 335 HP? With boost? It is a 3.5L direct-injected 24-valve V6, yes?
The Camaro has a 3.6L direct-injected 24-valve V6 with NO boost, is doing 323 HP.
If the EB is adding 40% more torque, then the EB HP should be well past a 6.2

The EB is still a Mustang engine in a mis-badged 3/4-ton pickup. Take the Cobra engine, put that in a pickup, then have the hot-rod we all want. Well, not me. I know you truly NEED a supercar to safely use big power.

3.5 EB has 365hp/420tq. Not 335hp. It will run circles around a 5.3.

Preach it, because I have been saying that also. We will see what the Ram brings with the air bags and bumped up tow ratings for 2013. We (Ram) were the only ones that said if you want a HD pick up buy a 2500/3500 if you don't need that get the 1500. Well so much for integrity IMO.

The number that everyone is really interested in is the brake specific fuel consumption.

Should I let Whisperide know that the 5.0 V8 is also a 'mustang engine'? Or would that be rude?

Oh Dear, another Boost-Bash thread
I have owned one for a year now and what I have concluded:
1) They do not ALL cost $40K+. My max tow Screw el-stripo XLT cost me $26K drive out. That is after TTL
2) Heavy pedal operation cost fuel. Smashing the accel AND then brake in any vehicle WILL reduce mpg. My DW has proven this. I can hypermile this truck back and forth to work (combo city and hway) and get 21 mpg. Drive it like a mustang and it's 16.
3) If you can hear the turbo's it's costing you fuel
4) Hauling 1000 lbs in the bed gets 16 mpg hyway if you keep your foot out of it
5) It tows 9000 lbs like a F250 but rides like a F150
6) Towing 9000 TT gets 9 - 12 mpg
Best truck I have ever owned. I ask more of it than I should towing this big camper and we will see how it works out in longivity.

Now, go back to your name calling
