Had genny running air conditioners when turned off genny, the inverter 458 quit and wouldn't run off batteries.
Took to an authorized service dealer who replaced a fuse, ran it for 45 minutes...and $190 thanks you. Installed in MH and three seconds later, back to square one. Called service dealer who wanted to schedule another service call. Wife says lets leave town.
am looking for someone honest with warranty for job done right!!!
As for a replacement, some of the brains from Trace went to start a new company called Outback back in the 90's. I know that my 1998 Trace is still working fine, except for one $450 repair due to me plugging into a campground with reversed neutral to hot wires. I will be looking at a replacement Trace or Outback inverter when the time comes to replace this one. I will also be looking for pure sign wave, so I can run the microwave without damaging it.
Not sure whats going on but you may want to check your voltage coming into the unit and your ground. I have a hardwired Xantrax 1200 thats going on 5 years and powers the two tv's satellite dish and a couple of outlets so we can charge stuff. I also have a portable Xantrax 400 that plugs in the cig lighter for the TV which also works fine.
So it could be a 1/bum unit, or 2/ your feeding it from a bad power source thats causing it to shut down.

Were you really expecting to run 2 air-conditioners off your batteries? How large is your battery-bank? How old are the batteries?
Were the air-conditioners shut down before turning off the generator? The load is supposed to be removed and generator run a few minutes more before shutting down. I suspect you are asking way to much from the system. Since you took it to a dealer means maybe this is the first time you tried that since you did not locate and check the fuse in the first place.
While on generator the air-conditioners are running on 120v AC. When shuting down generator the inverter could not handle the load. It takes 10 x the amp load to run on 12v DC power. I would expect the fuse to blow.
