I just noticed that the device at the Amazon link is no longer available. Does anyone know of another source? How about a link?

Thanks.

Try this for another source for the double 15/30 adapter:

Ok, so let me get this straight. If you plug this into a duplex outlet at home, you only get 15 amps out of it. Got that just fine. Little easier on the outlet I suppose as far as heat build up goes.

so how do you get 30 amps out of it? In a generator it may have two separate windings and breakers for two outlets? If so, what is the difference between hooking it to that and to a home outlet with power from different circuits to each of the two plugs seperatly? Cut the connector between the hot and N wires so they are seperate.

What I'm not sure of, as I don't really know, what happens if they are wired from the same leg on the panel or opposite legs? If they are on opposite legs, would you then have 220? So they would have to be wired to breakers on the same leg. Correct?

Wiring the two connections on a duplex outlet on a generator to different phases of a 240V circuit would be the ultimate in recklessness and stupidity. That is just begging for an accident. I can't bring myself to believe that any manufacturer would do that by design. I have a 6000W generator that supplies both 120V and 240V outputs. There is one 240V outlet and two 120V duplex outlets. The two 120V outlets are 180 degrees out of phase and thus 240V potential difference in voltage.

CEDARHILL - bummer on AMAZON dropping the RV30A-15A DUAL HONDA Adapter..
Glad I bought four or five of them over the years now... They certainly have been a COOL operation adapter for me over the years...

I will check around and see who makes them...

Looking on the case of the one I have here in my hand says:
Power Maximiser
Papillion, NE
PN PM30-15

Did a search on GOOGLE for Power Maximiser PM30-15 and got a few vendors still showing them available...

You will get the full power avaliable. If the circuit is a 20 amp circuit, you will get the 20 amps and not over load the 15 amp socket. If the circuit is 15 amps, you will get 15 amps.

The item is clearly labled as rated 15 amps.
I have one and it does work fine for what it is.

The 15 amp rating is for EACH plug. The 15 amp rated socket is for EACH socket. So haveing TWO plugs and TWO sockets, increases the total current carring ability.
