Any recommendations on who/where to send my Transynd tranny fluid for analysis?

Im at 3 years since last filter change this month, but only 5000 miles on the coach since then, figuring that stuff doesnt "go bad" i dont necessarily agree with the timeline recs alone for filter/atf changeout like i DO with engine oil. if analysis says to change it i surely would though.

thanks!!!

There are a number of places that will do an analysis, but these people are reliable and fairly inexpensive. They sell a sampling pump if you need one: JG Lubricant Services

Joel, thanks for the link. I've been contemplated the very same thing. Which of the services do you use and how have the results looked. Do you sample once a year???

I suspect the coolant can be sampled quite easily without the use of their specialized pump but the oil sampling pump may be a good acquisition

I've used Blackstone labs for engine and transmission oil analysis and Fleetwood Monitor C labs for coolant and I'm pleased with both. They offer a complete breakdown of results and recommendations if anomalies are detected. I'm sure there are others, as described above, that are just as good.

The guy who owns JG was a senior lubricant scientist at Allison and bills himself as "the father of Transynd". He's a good guy and has posted a lot on this and other forums. His lab is less expensive than Blackstone because they make you pay extra for Total Acid and Total Base results and those are what you really want to have.

I used their "advanced" test (or whatever it is called) and bought a 3-pack for $75. The sampling pump makes it very easy to take a sample--just insert a plastic tube through the dipstick opening and "suck." My oil and Transynd results were very detailed and things seemed to be in good shape. It made me feel a lot more confident about not needing any transmission changes at this time.
