Considering a getaway for a long weekend at the end of June for my Birthday from Billings MT to Thermopolis WY. Tripadvisor shows Eagle RV Park and Campground as #1 in Thermop of three CGs. I have only found Fountain of Youth mentioned here, listed #3 of 3 on Tripadvisor. I think Fountain of Youth has a private spring, not sure about the others. However reviews here of Fountain of Youth are just "adequate." I don't need anything fancy but does anyone here have any comments about sites with hookups and maybe access to springs at CGs or elsewhere in Thermop?

Thanks so much for any replies.

When I was there we used the public bath. It was wonderful and free. The only downside was that you smell of minerals for a couple of days. Very enjoyable.

You can go to the state park mineral springs for free. It's pretty nice.

Thermopolis is neat. I highly recommend an afternoon in the museum. Well worth seeing.

The large (and I mean large) hot springs pool is great at Fountain of Youth. You can also use the public pool, but I recommend staying at Fountain of Youth. It isn't fancy, but you said that was fine with you. We had a great time there.

You might take a look at what other RVers think of the choices.

Stayed at Eagle rv park, no pool, but was nice campground, clean bathrooms and quiet. probably a ten minute drive to the hot springs. Drove through Fountain of youth, small sites and overcrowded you couldn't make me stay there. just my opinion. You will have a great time in Thermopolis, lots to see and do. Have fun and Happy Birthday!
