Put the Rhino in the bed of the truck and tilt it up so the front wheels are above the cab. Then the whole thing will fit inside the truck bed and you can close the tailgate and use a regular hitch. You can accomplish tilting up the Rhino on it's back wheels with ramps that go up a headache rack mounted behind the cab. Drive it right up there and tie it down.

You do realize that to get 9' of length out of a 8' bed, he will need to run the front side of the ramps 4' higher than bed floor? This put the front wheels 6-7' off the ground.

You're going to load a 6' tall UTV almost 7' off the ground? It goes back to my post about center of gravity...

JW you are correct in that the percentage will change the further out you go from the end of the hitch. As far as what formula you would use, that I'm not sure of.
You would need to know what type of steel the receiver is made of, then it would be a shear stress with a tension or compression stress. One of our resident engineers might be able to work it out for you.

BTW there was a discussion on this about a month ago, there were some pretty neat ideas on how to load it in the bed with the gate up. When I get home in the morning I'll see if I can find it.
