For your first advice... make sure you do your research on the payload capacity of your truck and compare it to the tongue weight of your new trailer. Best way is to weigh your truck and then subtract that amount from your GVWR. What's left over is what your truck can "haul" (not pull). Anything....anything.. you put on/in the truck from then on will reduce that payload capacity by that respective amount.

Thanks for the great advise, Ron. Fortunately we did our research and ended up with a Freightliner. I think it will haul any trailer we get.
I liked the Voltage 3800, she liked the 3950. Couldn't get a custom that combined our likes.....but.....lo and behold!!!!! This monday Dutchmen announced the new 3895, which does exactly that. We have received floorplans from the dealer we chose to stick with and are waiting for some pics. Dealer is 6 hrs away, so we make as few trips as we can.
Speaking of pics.....not exactly sure how to do that.

Yep, a Freightliner will do the job, I would think. Getting the perfect rv that both agree on is fantastic....not many of us can say we have done that.
Again, welcome.

Nice that they swapped the sofa and kitchen slides - in the 3895 there's more entertainment unit wall space than our 3950 and you still have access to the washroom with the slides in. The double stairs in the 3950 are fun, but wasted space.
OTOH, the only access to the powder room is through the garage - that would wouldn't work for our cats.
