Well we got back last night from our first trip with out new (to us) 2001 Viking Pop Up. We went to Silver Lake Dunes in Michigan. Great time! All in all it was a great trip and the pop up worked flawlessly. We used every single thing on it including A/C all day and even the heat one night as it got pretty chilly. Everything works great in the camper including the fridge. Highest temp we saw from it was 40 and that was in 90 degree heat. I found that putting a fan in front of the upper vent to pull heat from the top past the cooling fins really worked. had to turn the fan off later in the day as I was seeing readings in the upper 20's.
We cant wait to take another trip with it. Not sure where were going to go. Were going to have to look into some spots for weekends that are not too far a drive. We really loved it!

You gotta love all those hanging lights haha... Looks like all was having a great time...
I have the ROPE LIGHTS under my front awning - two 12-foot lengths from LOWES. They just give off enough light to light-up under the awning and doesn't draw bugs. I have a lighted lamp post with our name hanging on it haha... I also point two round desk lamps (Lowes) up into the trees above the camp site and that reflects light back - looks great too... Keeps all those really big bugs over there at the edge of the patio where the round lights are at.
We sure have enjoyed our POPUP over the years...

Actually all these lights came with it. There were 5 sets and a long blue rope light that I never put up. Perfect amount of light with the Tiki's (that also came with it. Even thr grill and the fan came with it. The ONLY thing I bought for this trip was a long lighter ans a wire brush to clean the grill. Everything else we needed was in the camper including a toaster, Microwave, Coffee Pot, pots, pans, plates, silverware, new air matress, lanterns, propane the whole 9 yards. There was even a water mister that we set up that was a big hit since it was pretty hot. Made our first trip quite easy I must say!

I had a vision Bond...lol
Actually we had help from the previous owner. As I mentioned above the PUP came with EVERYTHING we ever needed and then some....
We even had the owner of the campground buzz by on a golf cart to pay a nice compliment on how nice the site looked. That sure felt good for a first timer...lol

That's 796 nights you have on us, but hopefully we get there and more. The wife really enjoyed the trip as well. As long as it has heat I can get her to go even when it's chilly. As long as she can sleep in comfort were good!
