I saw this last week when we were camping up north in Old Orchard Beach Maine. Don't know what model the trailer is and don't know much about fifth wheel weights but that truck cant have more than 1400-1500lbs of payload??!! Nice looking trailer though!!

When he swings that trailer tight in a turn, curious how close that extended pinbox comes to the bed rails.

looks like the suspension on the rear of the truck is bottomed out.

Can't imagine it would be safe unless they had a very short drive to their destination.

I wonder if the front wheels get light or come off the ground if they hit a big bump in the road.

I can hear the RV salesman..."Oh don't worry you're truck will pull this 5th wheel just fine "

Looks like it could be a Keystone Cougar 327RES.

1545lb pin weight.

Most of the Keystone Cougars have a 1500-1600lb pin weight.

look at the vertical gaps above the tires: About equal, not tail-down. Could be airbags, but look at the tires, the rears don't look badly-overloaded, and those short-sidewall sizes aren't offered in really high load ratings.
I see no problem here, so long as it's a 5.7L Hemi with a 3.92:1 axle.

That's crazy! He is already over his payload before even adding weight to the trailer, plus passengers, plus fuel and cargo, not to mention the weight of the fifth wheel hitch!! How can the Rv salesman feel comfortable selling him that trailer!!

Air bags will level just about anything, but it won't increase the GAWR! I believe that on that dodge 1500 is about 3,900# . If that is the case 3,900 - 1,600 = 2,300# for the base weight of the truck hitch, stuff and hitch got to be close if not over GAWR. That said look. Ice and level, wonder about the tires though.

Good grief. Some folks have too much time on their hands and worry way too much about other folks combo's.
