Okay all...Does anyone have any suggestions for good quality RV parks in Grand Junction, Montrose, and Durango, Colorado? We have a 37 ft dlesel pusher with a toad and will be traveling through Colorado for a family event. We're planning on doing some sight seeing while there..... Any suggestions would be great.

Since you'll be in Durango, the Silverton to Durango Narrow Gauge train is fantastic. Up through the mountains to Silverton and back. A great trip. Then drive 550 to Ouray. A great mountain drive, but not if you're not comfortable with mountain driving. Mesa Verde is only about an hour west of Durango; well worth the trip. When in Montrose make sure to visit the Black Canyon of the Gunnison. Enjoy one of my favorite areas!

Grand Junction... Rifle Gap State Park Rifle Gap State Park...$24/night full hookups

Durango...Bayfield RV Park $33/night full hookups, fishing from your site, dog play area. Close to Pagosa Springs
..........United Campgrounds$45/night full hookups 50amp service, $43/night 30amp service. Durango/Silverton Railway Steam Engine/train comes right thru the campground. Trolley service into town for $1/day. Picks you up in front of the CG.
    .........Alpen Rose...IMHO..overrated.
.........Sky Ute Casino$30/night full hookups. Nice CG with grass and some room. Adjacent to the casino. Use their pool etc. Breakfast @ $6.99 all you can eat value. For the money this is your best bet...no frills only comfort.
.........Most of the sites we saw at the KOA were not level.

    Hope this helps....Dennis

We stayed at Alpen Rose in Durango and liked it. We had a 45' MH with toad. You can check rvparkreviews for other ideas.
