We sold our EZ-GO a few months ago. My dad lives across the road from us and he has a very nice tricked out Club Car we can use any time we go camping.
He has full liability coverage on the cart and after talking with his agent, he says we should be just fine and that his coverage would still kick in if anything bad happened with the golf cart at a campground.
We have a trip planned soon and are planning to take the cart. I have emailed the campground about this situation and hopefully will here from them tomorrow. Does anyone have any first hand experience on a similar situation?

Sorry. Campgrounds (at least all those around here) require liability insurance for you to be able to use a golf cart on their property. But I'm using my father's cart with his liability insurance.
Just wondering if his liability insurance will appease the campground folks or will I need to do something else.

My thought would be that it is entirely up to the whim of the campground. You may be legally covered, but if they don't acknowledge the insurance then they may say "Sorry, no can do".
My thought would be you're covered, but I don't own the campground. You've been in contact with them, so what do they say?

Insurance follows the vehicle, not the driver.
What if you borrowed your dad's motorhome? Would they deny you entrance because it's registered to someone else and insured in his name?
You should be fine.

Bring proof of insurance with you, maybe get the agent to write a letter stating coverage is extended to you if you're really concerned.

OK. Just got an email from the campground. They're absolutely cool with the insurance as it is. All they need is the proof of insurance documentation and we're good to go.
Hopefully, places like Ocean Lakes, Willow Tree, and Fort Wilderness will be the same way. I know those three campgrounds require liability coverage for golf carts.
