I have a new to me 2011 Keystone Raptor 300MP. The selling dealer was very sketchy on features and as I have investigated it some questions arose. In the basement on the right side there is a recessed plastic "tub" on the far right just before the compartment door. No drain to it, not reinforced to hold heavy weights. What's it for? In the very front on the curb side there is a compartment with some electrical equipment. There is also some open space and some restraining straps with clips. Battery, and room for a 2nd, is on the right side, This compartment is to the left of the generator compartment as viewed facing rear. What would the straps be designed to restrain?

Thanks

Small, light "things" like throw pillows...lol

Small children....

But seriously, I always wonder about these things too, and never find the answer I am looking for...
Please someone tell us what the factory was thinking when they added that stuff.

It seamed like that model cam with a yellow power washer to wash atv's, maybe?

Back in 2005 ours came with the Harbor Freight Pressure Washer and jumper box/air compressor thinga-ma-job. Both were strapped in the front compartment to the left of the generator.

I guess that would make sense for the front compartment, but I am still scratching my head about the "tub" in the right side of the basement. When I first saw it I figured it would be a good place for a bottle jack and stuff but it's not strong enough. 2nd thought it would be a great place to put a case of beer on ice, but there is no drain, so that would be a mess. Not sure I would want to place pillows and such because the basement, pass through area under the front bedroom, has dirty stuff, hoses, wheel chocks, cords, etc. The tub isn't reinforced, so heavy weights would break through.

Thanks for the help so far. If it did come with a pressure washer originally, it walked off somewhere along the line.

Well I have no small children and no you can't send me any. Been there, done that, paid my dues in full.

Well, based on this picture from the Raptor Website, I would say the plastic tub is for drinks....

When we sold our Raptor our Pressure Washer and infiltrator didn't go along either. Jesse is spot on about the tub, I remember seeing that in later units and laughing at it, I still can't figure out what the Keystone Engineers were thinking with the tub/ice/soda idea. Hello that's what coolers are for.

Only reason I knew is because I am starting the long shopping process (DW says we have to get a house and bigger truck first....), and I happened to see that picture on the website.

Well can't argue with photographic evidence. Guess I'll fashion a drain plug for the cooler tub.
