I'll vote for this also. We have our Puma 25RS with the Queen Bed in front. All quests, grandchildren, etc. use the front couch or the dinette area. I did have to sleep with a grandson in the coverted bed from the table...that was the last time.

Yep. All the kids are old enough to sleep alone. I sleep with DW, the rest, where ever they want.

That Bunkhouse looks like it will sleep at least 9. You are only 5. You are wasting space for 4 more. Actually. Each of your kids, could have their own bed. No need to sleep with their mom, or you.

Last trip out I slept in the queen bed, joined by 4 year old, hound dog found his way there also during the night. Wife went to bunk room with infant. She won't be in same bed as 4 yer old.

Interesting and entertaining feedback which was expected as we all have different situations for home and camping in the RV!

I generally get the couch while DW and DD get the queen. I tend to snore and if we consume any adult beverages by a fire it tends to get worse. We have found that all 3 of us get a better nights sleep if I'm by myself. I am also usually the first one up in the morning so being on the couch keeps me from bothering them when I'm getting up and moving.

If everybody is happy and sleeps good with this arrangement, that is all that counts. Maybe next year the 5 year old will want to sleep in the bunk and you can sleep with your wife then. This may not work for others, but if it works for you all, I say "go for it."

Exactly, I agree on the comment to whatever works so everyone can get a fairly decent sleep. One day when my 5 year old boy is ready for the bunk he will love it as it is pretty comfy and cozy and has their own cubby with door to put what they wish in there. They also each have their own light in the bunks as well.

Why would the camping sleeping arrangements be any different than the home sleeping arrangements? If those are your home sleeping arrangements than it seems to be more of a problem than something that would get answered on an RV internet message board.

IMO, of course.

I laugh when I think about my now 14 year old daughter. When she was about 1 we had a trailer that had 3 bunks stacked so the bottom one was right on the floor. We would put here in her bunk at night and if we had to get up in the middle of the night to go to the restroom had to be careful as not to step on her. She would roll out and we would find her asleep on the floor.

Both our kids always sleep in their own rooms and in the trailer their own beds. My son 18 and daughter have never slept with either my husband or myself. I had my bottle of monster killer (frebreze with a label on it) that I would go in and kill those monsters at night. They didn't have any monsters and their rooms always smelled great. Now that they are older they can not beleive my monster killer was air freshner.
