I think it differs from state to state or place to place. Most charge by the foot. Get a name and google it.

Here in Southern California, I don't know of any RV "temp" controlled units. In general terms, a low of $325 for enclosed storage (40' RV) to in excess of $550 a month (Ventura area).

They just kicked out 1700 RV's from southern Orange County. 1300 from Baker Ranch RV Storage on July 31st, and 400 from the old RV Travel Land storage lot. That is now driving up storage prices like you wouldn't believe. Storage is going to be in short supply soon, as another 2400 RV's are getting kicked out of the Old El Toro Marine Base.

All of these lost RV spaces are due to new building of homes and commercial spaces.

My advice is worth exactly what you paid for it.

Yep. South Orange County is going crazy with construction right now. The roads are packed with trucks, earth movers etc. The builders must know something we don't.

For what it is worth, home listings less than 500K in this area have pretty much been sold out. I have heard from several Realtors that low end homes are getting bid up, since there are so few on the market anymore.

I think I will just go with outside covered storage.I think I can still get by leaving the roof vents open and cracking a window and keep the rain out as long as there is a roof over the top.Plus a lot cheaper. From the sound of it anyone with an rv and need to store it is having a tough time.Makes me glad to be in tenn.

Out of curiosity, what would you be willing to pay for air conditioned RV storage in your part of the country? What price is reasonable?

For us, it's not air conditioning that matters, it's having non-freezing winter storage that is good for when we want to head south after the Christmas holidays. That costs $150/month around us here in the Montreal area. To me, it is reasonable.

My clients often ask if AC can be installed The answer is yes but the cost is extraordinary. To date no one has actually done it. Since our units are insulated with 100 amps of power they simply set there coaches AC to 85 and let the coaches AC cool their RV down if and when it gets that hot. The interior of our garages stay about 15 degrees cooler than the outside temps. Also we do not have a high humidity problem out here.
