I had the same problem - it was because the motor mount had become loose allowing the motor to rotate. I rotated the motor back until the wipers were parked in the right position and tightened down the motor mount.
Of course, yours may be different.

Are they pumped by an air pump or electric motor?
4 whopping cylinders on Toyota RV's. Talk about great getting good MPG. Also I have a very light foot on the pedal. I followed some MPG advice on Livingpress.com and I now get 22 MPG! Not bad for a home on wheels.

The wipers are electric 12 vdc and the mounts are tight. I can move the wipers mannuly to the center where they normanly stop and turn on the switch and they go out and stop. Thanks Danwes

On mine the splines where the arm attaches to the motor had stripped out giving the exact same symptoms. The nut got a bit lose and that was that. Got a new motor and arm at Diesel Equipment CO I talked to Neenie in the wiper dept, sent pictures of the old motor and arm and she matched it up for me.

Mine did the same thing and it was the nut that holds the arm to the shaft on the motor. I loosened it up put them where they belonged and re-tightened the nut and so far so good.

Thanks to Ferndaleflyer and Daveshan
The problem with the wipers being out of time was the nut on the wiper motor being loose, reset time on wiper blades and tighten the heck out of the nut. Thanks so much for your knowledge and input. The best to you and yours for the help. Danwes
