Last week in Guthrie Ok, the temp was 115 degrees F...the air conditioner (central) and the frig could not keep things cool...we even had a portable ac and it didn't help..we finally gave it up about 3 pam and headed home...It was extremely hot, no shade...I guess the bottom line is...the basement air in the Winnie did not ..and yep both compressors were working...very disappointed in the AC and frig...

You are in a poorly (in relation to your house ) insulated "can"about and 20-30 degrees lower than outside temp is the best you can expect without taking measures, Covers Trees foil in windows etc. Personally at 115 Im outa there to! thank goodness it comes standard with wheels ;-) Hell can wait.
My post's are my opinion The advice, comments etc are free and worth what you paid

As far as the reefer goes...if you dont have additional FANS blowing over the coils in the rear....then you drink warm "sody-pop"
AC units...Ive been told by people in the business that the BEST you can expect is 30 degrees cooler than ambient air...Ive gotten 25 degrees difference before and felt luck although hot!
If you cant get the coach in the shade AND have window awnings pulled out to keep sunlight from warming up the interior....then you get just exactly what you got!

I was in 29 Palms last summer and I did a couple of things, I put that reflective stuff in each window and I turned the rig so the refrigerator was facing east and not getting the hot sun blasting against it. Also you could have the awning shade it but in the desert the wind can start whipping so I didn't use it.
Anything to insulate the trailer will help, but when it comes right down to it, 115 degrees is HOT and a trailer just isn't insulated like a house is.

May-Sept, one of the first questions I seek answered is "do you have a shady spot?"...upon arrival, I then find West and verify...

Did you have any tinting added to your coach? Since I added the new 3M heat reflective tint, I've been much more comfortable.
Sounds like you made the right decision to leave. It can be unbearable to try and sleep at 95 degrees.
