The dw and I bought a used 1997 29 ft Alpenlite Riviera And can't believe the quality. It is an excellant 5er. What would others who have Alpenlites compare them to?

Alpenlite was way ahead of their times. Sadly the companies demise was a matter of ownership business decisions.

Alpenlite did make excellent fifth wheels, at least up to a point. IMHO, the quality declined a bit in later years but I don't think that was the cause of their demise.

We bought a used 2003 and we are happy as heck with it. The quality is excellent. If you happen to be a Facebook user they have a group on there that is very informative. Enjoy your fiver.

Yep alpenlite started to use lippert products and raised the prices. Not a great thing we thought at the time because it did show lower quality most of us noticed at the rally's.

I have a 2003 Portofino Villa and the trailer itself seems bullet proof. I've change some components through the years such as the inverter but the trailer is excellent. It is heavy though. The reflective glass is nice and all the slides seem very heavy duty.

We havent had ours long and are still working on the "making it ours" part. The build quality is excellent over all and we love the floor plan of or 94 29 RK/DL
