You'll know when it's to far off level. The typical refer needs to be level within 3 degrees and maybe more in the other direction.
3 degrees is a 5" drop across a 8' RV. You won't be comfortable with that slope on the floor or anywhere else.

Sometimes placing a ball in the middle of the floor works. Just jack it up on the side the ball rolls to.

For those of you that mentioned that a half bubble off is just fine.
My wife insists that I have been at least a half bubble "off" for many years.
My question is...
Should I try to set the trailer up so that it is a half bubble off in the other direction?
If I get it so that the bubble shows level, would I still be a half bubble "off"?
Using marbles on the floor...Won't work...lost them a long time ago!

No matter where you put a level, you will get a differant reading in each part of the RV. After I level the RV, I expect nothing to be perfect. Since the fridge is usually in the middle of the RV, I open the the fridge door half way (45 degrees) and full (90 degrees). If the door does not move in either position open, the RV is sufficiently level.

I used a lazer level and adjusted the rv to where the 4 corners of the bottom of the frame are the same distance to the lazer light. Now that the rv is PERFECTLY level I use a very high quality adhesive and glue one HOPPY level "perfectly level" next to the door for the landing gear and one on the front under the overhang on the 5er. I put tape on them in the level position and let the glue cure. Now I can get my rv perfectly level easily every time!
Using a little plastic level in a frig is a waste of time.
If you don't have access to a lazer level use a 4' carpenters level on the bottom of the frame.
You can buy lazer levels fairly cheap these days and there are many other uses for them. Guys, like when the wife says the picture you just hung is crooked, just whip out the lazer!

I knew a guy who did that a few years ago and discovered the house wasn't level. That is when the fun started.
He did the measurements and the math and it came out that all he had to do was place two jacks under the main beam in the basement and raise it 3 inches. When he did, it cracked the plaster on every wall in the house.
After 5 years of evenings and weekends he finally got all of the damage corrected.
A month later his company transferred him to another city.

I had a couple guys work for me like that, they did not last long!
I used a professional Hilti lazer level. Even the cheap ones can be accurate, set the level on one side of the rv and get it level. Then take the level to the opposite side and check. If not exact average how much it is off. Once you get the levels right it really is easy to level up your rig.

For newer Dometics, the instructions state that if the RV is comfortable enough to be lived (no noticeably sloping walls or floor) then the fridge will be OK. Older units were more critical.
That being said, I strive to get most of the bubble centered in the level, which I place on the floor of the freezer. When I level my RV the fridge level takes precedence.
