on my F 350 dually and my AF 1150 loaded which will give 5000 lbs a run for its money, driving on CC set at about 62 mph, on Interstate, good weather, no head winds I can see mid 13's. Weather, winds, hills etc will drop it into mid to high 12's
Pull off Interstate and its 12's on secondary roads.
Stop and go will pull it down into 10's - 11's
On the front lower of my TC are 2 2x4" rubber bumpers. They stick out about 1.5" or so. If you got a full insert when you loaded your TC and it now time to lift out at the camp spot, and set it down the be SURE to watch as you lift your TC as the rubber bumpers may or may not clear the top edge of the truck bed. If it does not clear, as it raises you can rip the rubber bumpers off and also do damage to the TC where they are mounted.
Lift, if it looks like they will not clear pull forward slightly to allow the TC to go straight up...
Seriously, time to check out other companies. We have USAA, and to add our new TC and new dually, it was an extra $6 per month.
I am with you there...I was stunned when USAA said not problemo on a TC just another piece of baggage.
I even ran thru a scenario: What IF I am camping, TC is off the truck and a tree falls on it...again no problemo you are covered.
SIDEBAR: If you have an honorable discharge from the military you too can get USAA insurance...I have been with them for 46 years, car, truck, house, etc...
