Welcome home Jerry and I'm sure your gonna survive working on that old desktop for a few weeks :W We sure enjoyed your company in Pismo, just wish we had all felt better. (I will be headed to the Dr. tomorrow)

Well folks, I’m back on line. I had to dig out my old desktop puter as my laptop lost it’s monitor light. It’s pretty hard to read a dark screen. I ordered a new laptop today should be here next month so till then I’m clunking away on this desktop….
I had a great time at Mash V and it seems everyone I talked to did also. What a great group of folks.. Thanks to all those who set up the decorations (and took them down). The food was wonderful (as usual), the margarita tasting was fun too. Then there were the games. I had no idea on what could be done with a potato. One day when I get my new puter going I will post some of the pictures I took. I do believe I got some good shots of the plunger folks trying to get the TP speared on the plunger (you had to be there to understand).
Here’s hoping that the Fools Rally dates don’t fall on Easter Sunday.

Does that year Continental have the suicide doors? You should bring her up to Reno for Hot August Nights we could cruise along with you in our Malibu! I love these classic cars. I even love the smell of their exhaust-I know, I know, I am a wierdo!:h
it's a 2 door coupe. One of these years I will be doing Hot August Nights, not sure when.........
I know what you mean about the exhaust :s

RE: Help with weird older style tie downs
I had stake bed tie downs with turnbuckles on my '74 Chev with a '76 Beaver 9 1/2 on it for over 75,000 miles with no problems. The beds back then were strong, today's beds are not and I would not use them. In a pinch get some heavy duty nylon 4" wide ratchet straps and wrap them around the frame to your tie downs, drive cautiously.

Jerry you said you "had" that car...what happened? You should still "have" it LOL! Anyway she was a beauty. LOVE all that chrome!
I traded it for a 1956 mint condition Continental Mark II with 33,000 original miles on it. I still have it today!
When I had the Corvette chrome was the thing, I spent a lot of time/$s working on it. It was a hot rod and was not good for street cruising, the Mark II is a cruiser :s
