RE: Bunk room

Our Forest River Flagstaff ultralight technically could be towed by your truck...but my 2500HD does a much better job and I wouldn't want to do it with a 1500. 32 feet total length, 28 behind the truck, bunk room, skylight in bathroom, vaulted ceilings (except in bedroom).

RE: Flagstaff

We bought the 8528BHWS last year. Not too many problems so far but we haven't de-winterized yet. Some slide rail problems on two of the three slides (broken plastic guides), skylight leaked, and a few other minor things that have all been fixed. We used it 48 nights last year and towed it over 5,000km (2500ish miles?) and it held up pretty well. Tows very well with our 2500HD Sierra gasser and DW loves the extra room and toilet for our two young lads. :) Enjoy your new unit!

RE: Kamloops to Hwy 16

Kamloops to Highway #16 is a nice flat drive and yes it is a little boring if you have done it many times.( First time would be great though) Depending on which way you are going after that, if you go west on #16 and up the Stewart Cassair to Alaska. There are many nice sites, towns and villages along #16. (a side trip to Fort St James north of Vanderhoof is nice if you are interested in that). The route east through Mount Robson, Jasper and then north from Hinton through Grande Cache and Grande Prairie and on to Dawson Creek and the start of the Alaska Highway is also a nice route. (Particularly the Mount Robson and Jasper areas, very nice provincial park campground at Mount Robson) As suggested going up the Iceway from Lake Louise to Jasper is also quite nice with only one hard climb near the icefields. X2

RE: Home made fender skirts

We bought a replacement fender skirt from the company mentioned above - IconDirect. We were quite pleased with their product, especially since Fleetwood no longer makes trailers and parts. It was the exact size and shape of the original and the screw holes lined up perfectly. It was great.

RE: My bicycle mount

Do you know what those bike mounting anchors are called?

RE: Yellowhead & PH43 to Valley View

43 from Edmonton to Valleyview is pretty good. It is double lane divided the whole way (only goes down to single lane from Valleyview to Grande Prairie or Peace River which ever way you are going).
