I wonder if it was in the fine print or terms and conditions you agreed to many years ago when you signed up
Initially that is what I thought. I was told by the Agent that when I renewed by phone previously the auto-renew was placed on the account automatically. I did not agree to this and that is why I created the post. This is the first time this has happened and I have renewed my memberships with them a number of times. And truthfully if I had not switched the Roadside Assistance, I could have missed it since it was not a lot of money.

If no sour grapes why did you call it a scam - sure - glad you will not on here anymore - now that you are not paying to maintain this site
I said nothing about not being on here anymore. I simply called attention to a very poor business practice. I called it a scam to alert those who may not be as diligent, due to the trust place in Good Sam's. I was under the impression that this site as most are maintained by advertising dollars. Guess you learn something new everyday. Thanks for your reply.

Good Sam's Scam(Watch your credit cards)
I recently decided to move my many years of membership from Good Sam’s to Coach net. For no good reason, just felt like a change was due. I did not renew my member ship for roadside assistance or my Good Sam’s membership. I was surprised to learn the credit card I used last time I renewed was billed. When I called, the agent said it was auto-billed. I never gave authorization for this to happen. Even though I just received the statement, he was eager to give me a partial refund. What a joke! No sour grapes on my end, but there is a problem the way you are doing business.

Hi everyone,
My family and I are planning a trip from Calgary to Mt Rushmore KOA this July. We are probably going to stay a night in Billings. Can anyone recommend a good spot for the night? we may just end up 'Walmarting' it, but was wondering if there may be some other suggestions. Id like to find a spot for the kids to run around and burn off some energy. thanks.
A few years ago there was a problem with an Ordinance that was sponsored by campgrounds to stop the Walmart camping. I am not sure what ever happened you may want to check.

Hi,
I recently got a message inside my Ford F250 superduty 2008, telling me that the trailer was disconnected. At first opportunity I pulled over to the side of the road to check the plug. It was well seated in the truck's female connector and the plug cap was locking the plug. I inspected both connections to confirm the cleanliness of all contact points. Everything looked fine.
I pulled away and received similar messages until I reached my destination. I noticed that while it indicated that the trailer was disconnected, the brakes responded properly when I pressed the brake pedal.
Has anyone else experienced a similar problem? What may the cause be?

There has been an know issue with water in the receptacle causing the error. Speak to your dealer

Message center displaying "Wiring Fault On Trailer":
This may occur due to water intrusion/corrosion in the trailer connector socket or the connector behind the socket. If corrosion is present, replace the socket and harness and lube with silicone dielectric grease. If there are no signs of water, perform normal diagnosis. Broadcast Message 7052, 7108.

Either them or the Chip for the concerts and craziness. There is a newer campground operated by the Broken Spoke,that I have heard good things about. If you are not into the concerts there is also one in Sturgis. A little know Gem is the Spearfish City Campground, will not handle a big hauler and a drive from Sturgis. Have fun....
