RE: Need or want?

What does get me is when someone says they need a CG with all kinds of arcades and wifi for their kids. There are times I need this because it is what I am looking for. some cg entertainment on site for a change. other times I go remote. state parks with nothing but other types of fun to do. we love vacations mixed up. some with amenities thru the roof, some trips quiet and relaxing and calm this is like any other situation. if a person needs it for any reason, it is cool. book whatever floats your boat

RE: Thousand Trails Zone Pass - After One Year

I checked it. the buy one get one free zone promo is gone. now it is $525 for one zone and get $100 off. I liked the 2 zones for $400 offer better :)

RE: Thousand Trails Zone Pass - After One Year

good review I have been debating and debating over and over. still haven't gotten the buy one zone and get one free. seems like a great value and would love to try it. just haven't taken the plunge because my cgs I like are at the beach and most in my area are not there, so it kinda is killing the desire to try it. but I am thinking of hitting up more north and there are alot on the zone that I might be interested in trying. so that buy one get one pass is looking better and better now. hmm..what to do. good report tho. at least you got the value. as long as you do use it, the value is there.

RE: Need or want?

One way was by marrying a woman almost 10 years younger. If I can't do something I get her do it!:D snart thinking! :) funny want, need? truly does it matter what others want or need in their vacation choices. nah. there are parks for everyone and cg hookups or no hookups for everyone.

RE: Debit or Credit Card?

I don't do credit cards! If I don't have it, I don't need to spend it. Use my debit card for everything. The only thing is that I am very careful about where I enter my PIN. When given the option, I run it as a credit card....ALWAYS! Never had a problem. Also check my accound balance, almost daily. what if you do have it? the cash in the bank. I do. but I use the CC and pay it off asap. then I get FREE money from the rewards. why wouldn't someone want free money if the situation was 'I have the cash to spend, why not make a dollar on it?' I do understand tho. many do not like credit cards and avoid them like the plague. me, I work their system and come out ahead with cash in my pocket.

RE: Debit or Credit Card?

credit all the time. I have a rewards card. $100 Visa rewards card coming in the mail to me right now :) I cashed in points. and the new points are adding up now. pay off ASAP. money is in and out on that card constantly. I use it for everything, come home and transfer the money from checking onto the card. get the points and earn rewards.

RE: It's just wrong...plain wrong...

RE: Campers who leave dog poop on their site

I pick up after mine. people ARE pigs, simple as that. no consideration for the other people using the site. Sad truly pigs always go in a self-designated part of their areas. Dogs poop everywhere .. actually not true cause I owned alot of hogs over the years, (was a farmer) and believe me they do it wherever they want :)

RE: Where to hide them

Tell she is fat. gaining weight. then leave them out in plain sight for yourself, cause she won't touch them after that. but you could be in the doghouse for sure :) :)

RE: Any one else need a hard hat in their RV ??

glad you are OK! when I get to our destination I walk the camper. Open all the cabinets. and wait for something that might jump. usually it is the medicine cabinet in the bathroom. then I make sure all is positioned and the rest of the trip is safe. :) just a habit now. immediately check everything fast, fix it right and go have fun without an injury.

RE: Campers Booking Right Next To You?

I book my site specific spots 11 months out and have no idea who has reserved what. I really don't care what anyone else does, I am picking a spot for me. X2 is this poster kidding? I hope so. the nerve of some people to enjoy exactly what you enjoy. WHY DID you book so close to them? what's wrong with ya :)

RE: Campers who leave dog poop on their site

I'll have to say that it is very rare to find a dog owner that actually picks up after their dog all of the time, when someone is watching they do but when they are out early in the morning or late at night when nobody is around it is very rare. And don't get me started on barking dogs that their owners just ignore. Allow me to introduce myself. I am one such person. Having stepped in enough poop that others left, I know how it feels. I also am strict on my children and don't give them carte blanch to run amok. Yup ---meet another. I also know the poop woes. I won't do it to someone else. plastic bag. so simple. takes a second. big deal. I guess on this all u will get is people saying not me. doubt the people doing it will admit it :)

RE: Camping with friends- Meals

make your own rules that fit your situation. when we meet up with our friends (which isn't too often actually because they prefer their type of camping and we always head to the beach :)), we always plan one big dinner meal together. after that, we all do our own thing. we are the type that eat when we are done with activities or whatever. we don't do breakfast lunch and dinner at certain times. we wing it when we want to eat. we could skip meals having fun and only eat breakfast at dinner----or we could be at the camper for a relaxing day of doing nothing and plan 3 meals. who knows when we might eat so we are sure we tell friends that if we meet up, we will party up one meal and have a blast, after that, everyone on their own. if we meet up to eat fine, if not fine. we don't plan much :)

RE: Where Do You Place Your Trash Can Or Bag?

Same here. We took the time to measure the corner and the height from the floor to the bottom of the fridge. It seems a bitr small but there's always a dumpter in most places. Ours is right by the fridge in a corner. We leave it there 24/7 and travel with it there and it has never move once. It's a metal can type with the flip up lid. Funny you ask because when we look at other floor plans thats something we checkout. Where to put the garbage can. X3 I do the same. small can with grocery store bags. nightly clean out. I have a small dog who is trained to know the garbage is always off limits :) Outside we have a pop-up full size plastic garbage can. we stake it and dump it each night also when we walk to the dumpster. It folds down and we seal it in a jumbo plastic bag in the compartment.

RE: Can I rant? Driving stuff...

That is why I vented here. I do my best to let the stuff go when I am driving, but man yesterday it was rough. driving situations happen all the time. let this stuff go is exactly what ya gotta do!! total of 12 hr round trip this week. we met only 3-4 people who stink at driving. not a bad trip for us this time. most just don't know where the gas pedal is and they need a refresher course. pull out in front of a monster rig like ours, and then don't accelerate is just wrong :)
