RE: Ram Towing Mirrors Extended While Bobtailing

Pretty much the same, BUT what's with the excercise gig and cutting out the donuts:h How am I gonna survive, I work for the police:B My mirrors stay out 'cause I'm too lazy to re-adjust AND I think they look cool. (Old man's adage: You can NEVER have too many tools) Lee

RE: Dually in Snow???

Just coming out of an 18 inch snow fall in the flats of Delaware. My opinion: Duals in the snow suck. Thankful that I have a 4x4. Better part of the last week going to and from work has been in 4H at about 25/30 mph on a 50 MPH road. Have good tires, but not a mud/snow tread. Now the wife's Durango has done just fine. Maybe my problem is the CTD and the 4:10 rears???? :h NAH, that can't be the problem. Lee

RE: RV related Christmas gifts

The Mrs and I will do Christmas when I get home from work, so don't know for sure. I know my kids gave me one of those 8 way socket wrenches, COOL.

RE: Here's your special card!!

Man, that's just sick:B:B Some of us up here in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic couldn't get our rigs out with a MACK truck. Too much ice and snow. And those up in the midwest are worse off than we are. At least they're used to this stuff. But I do appreciate the sentiment. thanks.:W Lee

RE: Christmas Bonus?

The bus company I work for (part-time), gives everyone a gift card, usually $35.00. Sometimes WAL-MART, sometimes the Mall. Been doing it the past 20 years that I've been with them

RE: Pictures of slightly damaged Tow Vehicle....Need advice

4 years ago, my dually was hit (while parked), by a GMC Jimmy at 30 mph. Bent the frame rails, so the tore the truck apark and replaced the frame rails, along with the hitch, bed, bumper, rear window, etc...... Total bill 22K. Go figure

RE: The "Big One"

Our rig stays stocked with basics year round. Our threat here would be a hurricane, and we have a plan for that. Wife, kids and grandkids head "inland/up country" with my TV and the rig and one of the girls veh. Me and son in laws tough it out at the home front. We're fighters/medic's/911 dispatchers, so will be needed and DO have facilities to remain in. The girls and grandkids may be a little snug, but at least safe. A hurricane thru here will be gone in 48 hours or less Lee

RE: Travelling in Bad Weather

IF you opt for I-95, there's a campground east side of the DC beltway that is open year round, and from there you can make South of the Border in a day. From there on, you should be OK. Lee

RE: brake problems

dog bone, can't offer any solutions, but I've been using the same Prodigy on my last 3 trailers, last two have been Cedar Creek, 34 & 36 ft. Haven't had any problem, except the one time I forgot to connect the plug into the truck. I'm pulling 8 - 10 thousand miles a year, and no problems. I only have to adjust for pulling SIL's 16 ft garden trailer. Lee

RE: washer/dryer pluming for alumilite 33ckt fiver

Is there a closet that "might of " been for a washer and or washer/dryer?. Would your positioning be close to an area you could tap for water and drain: Gonna be about a 2" drain line. I might suggest 2 seperate 20A circuits, if your doing a washer and a dryer. Make sure you get a dryer that vents to the outside. it can be done, just depends on you cabilities. Lee

RE: HD TV question

That "attachment" to your current batwing MIGHT help draw in a picture if you were in a weak signal area, like 40/50 miles from the transmitter antenna. Again, MIGHT. Lee

RE: Funny Turkey-day stories, (and/or disasters)

Well, he DID post the bird is done (meaning cooked), and I did NOT see mention of any fire, so....... waiting for another chapter. Now me, I inject a little Cajun seasoning when I deep fry. Lee

RE: Funny true story...

Coolbreeze, how long is that tag good for at that rate? Is that an annual fee, or what? I thought I was getting taken for a ride at $120. a year. Lee

RE: TV bed liner or spray liner

Spray in. But check around for which type. Some are like sandpaper when dry, others (mine) have a softer texture. Don't tear up your knees/clothes when kneeling or crawling in the bed. Mine is from a local no-name dealer, so can't give you a brand. Lee

RE: Unusual Things People Camp With

I know that guy who brings Candi camping with him. 1st time I met him, thought he was talking about his wife, THEN I met his wife. :B Good thing he lives out west, and I live on the other coast.

RE: Swine Flu Vaccine?

Being a "first responder", ambulance jockey and firefighter, I've had my H1N1 shot and will get my flu shot next week. Just as a track record, I've been getting a flu shot for the past 12-13 years. I can be "guarenteed" a head cold for 3-4 days sometime every year, but have never had the flue. Do they work? Does for me or I'm very lucky. Maybe I believe too much, but got my cholera and yellow fever shots when in S/E Asia, and never contracted either one. (Spent 5 years there, most of it on the economy). Guess I just don't understand the hype for NOT getting protection/prevention. Lee

RE: Storage cupboard strength

Just my 2 cents, but I'd try to keep the weight under 10 pounds per running foot. The problem you might have is that books are heavy, in and of themselves. Lee

RE: The "non-essential must-have" items - What's on your list?

Weather alert radio. Not mandatory, but if your in an area where severe weather might occur, it's nice to have a 20 or 30 minute warning. I found it VERY USEFUL while in Indiana in May and June. Lee
