RE: Loppy's Melanoma - update 1/6

He's such a wonderful little guy! This sums up everything really. Loppy is a joy. And we understand your wanting to share the thousands of special moments you have had with him. Our furry friends truly "pay it forward" in the most exquisite manner. Blows my mind how we humans benefit so greatly from having little furry friends and furkids like Loppy in our lives. Hugs to Loppy!

RE: No camper - now what?

Gosh, Rita. We know how difficult it is to find pet-friendly places. Sounds like you are researching all the best resources. I'll give this some thought and post again this weekend.

RE: Recommendations for Snake Avoidance Training in Surprise AZ

I guess these Easterners don't know about such things... Oh yeah, we do! :E We have to watch out for rattlers and cotton mouths. Scary!

RE: Florida State Parks: How busy?

The spring breakers usually avoid the state parks, at least the rowdy crowds. It is worth it to see some of the panhandle beach parks. Agreed. The Gulf of Mexico at the Florida Panhandle is hard to beat.

Alite campers

My aunt is starting to see the advantage of getting into a camper (and out of a tent). She has an Elantra, so she needs to consider the lightweight campers. Anyone care to share thoughts on Aliner's "Alite" version? Thanks in advance!

RE: How Quiet Is An Aliner vs Quicksilver?

So I am curious. Which one did you buy? :)

RE: Its a Waiting Game For Now

Yes, you bet. I have fingers crossed. I get nervous when my kitty (going on 17) - who has health issues- starts to act differently. Kitties are very resilient though. So perhaps it is just a UTI -- especially since she is acting normal (other than the litter box). Keep us posted.

RE: Merry Christmas from snowy Oklahoma-snow dogs pictures added

Great pics! I've never been in snow that deep...no wonder the little ones were trying to negotiate the high drifts.

And my heart is honored to share in the sadness and memories of wonderful furry little friends who change our lives for the better. Best to all in 2010 -- wishing good health to all. Dee

RE: Cast Iron

My great-grandmothers has never rusted but has been loved and used for well over 100 years. Did I need the one I bought for a quarter at a garage sale? No but it needed a good home. :)

RE: Dear Daughter Jennifer: Last Up-Date

Steve, I just read Jen's Story on the web site you created. Have to say that the one part that really got the tears going was when Jen squeezed her Mom's hand. Story of courage....both of beautiful Jennifer and your entire family. And a legacy of love....Wow, what an inspiration. Dee

RE: Family trip to Florida in Jan

It is a bit chilly in Central Florida. Suggest finding a place with a "heated pool" in case warmer weather does not coincide with your visit. Like others said, try to go "south" of Orlando for warmer temps.

RE: My wife & my dog just put each other in the ER!

I think it's a conspiracy. Enroute to the bathroom, I discovered Maya, my 28lb Maine Coon Cat, sleeping, stretched out across the upstairs hallway. I discovered this fact by tripping over her. I think it's a conspiracy. Sure sounds like it! :S

RE: Lost our Beloved Pudgy

Doug, Please do not feel guilty about not playing with Pudgy that one last time --- as you know, Bostons want to play 'ALL the time' (our Boston certainly does). There is no way you could have known what would happen next. Pudgy had a wonderful, loving home with you and your family. Your tears may dry, but I hope the memories of Pudgy's exuberance will continue to bring smiles to you and your family. Please take care. Dee
