RE: Tony Roma .. YUCK !!

2nd the motion here. Tried and threw away. Also tried Paula Deen's country style ribs. Lousy food too. Read the wrong price tag until I opened them up and it was $7.99 for 4 little pieces of boneless meat. No more of that either.

RE: Cruiser fifth Wheel

You will get lots of replies today. We have a cruiser 30SK 5th wheel that is great. You'll get a few negatives but overall customer service is great.

RE: 1st Tow with the diesel

I bought my first diesel in Nov 08, for pulling our 5er. Won't go back to gas. Mine is an 08 F-250 6.4L, crew cab, long bed. Barely know the 5er is behind it when I hit the on-ramp to the interstate.
Congrats to you.

RE: My Calif DMV truck registration renewal notice came!

What a money gouging state! I pay a measley $78 for license tags here in Illinois. Or until our new governor gets his way and it'll go to $98.

RE: Painting Interior Walls?

I found using Zinsser Bullseye oil base primer works great. Its a bonding primer for that type of surface. Use top line brushes and not the $5-6 ones and you will see very few brush marks.

RE: screen door reinforcement

Got a piece of plexiglas, cut it to size, drilled pilot holes in it and then used self tapping screws into the door frame. Stops our two dogs from tearing open the screen.

RE: waxing the monster!

Wife is out of town, watched the golf tournament with two cold margaritas, cut grass YESTERDAY and watching it rain from the window.
I'd say my day was awesome.

RE: 2005 Ford F350 Lariat 4D Crew Cab Diesel

Make sure you get an oasis report, which shows what work, if any, has been done to it. Some 6.0L diesels have had problems, but not all. Get it checked by a mechanic as well before you plop down the money.

RE: RV parks in Surprise/El Mirage AZ for next winter?

My parents used to snowbird at Sunflower Resort in Surprise, AZ.
I visited them two years ago with my 5th wheel and rented a space there for a month. You could get in touch with them.

RE: How often should regen occur?

But I still love this truck! The power is amazing, especially towing my 5er. Hardly know its back there.

RE: How often should regen occur?

Maybe it does it more often and I don't know it,since the little dash light rarely ever comes on. But when it is very noticeable (large ash cloud exiting the tailpipe), it was around 800 miles or so a couple times on the interstate.

RE: How often should regen occur?

It shouldn't regen that often. My 08 6.4L diesel does it about every 800 miles or so. And sometimes I can't tell because the little notification light almost never comes on.
If you haven't found this site yet, go to ford-trucks.com (FTE-Ford Truck Enthusiasts), sign in as new member, and ask the same question.

RE: Purchace camper through RV Wholesalers

I've bought two 5er's from RVW and will do it again someday. They have a list of certified repair places that should be near where you live, in case a big local RV dealer hates RVW and refuses to work on your unit. We also arranged thru the manufacturer to have a local RV repair place to do warranty work in case its needed.
If you buy from them they will provide that info.
One of our local dealers that sell the brand we own told us upfront they won't work on one from that "cutthroat RVW". I told them, who cares. I saved $14,000 buying from RVW.

RE: Cahokia RV Parque opinions

If its for 1-2 days I'd try to stay at the Casino Queen RV park area. Its right across the river from the St Louis Arch and can take the metro link (train) back and forth across the river.
Cahokia Rv park is not the classiest place around and not in a great area.

RE: Ford powerstroke owners

I just bought an 08 6.4 liter diesel, crew cab, long bed, 4x2 in November of 2008. Many of them on dealer lots still, and they are offering $8,000 rebates and other incentives.
I love this truck and its power. some people complain of issues on theirs and EPA mandated emissions stuff that hasn't helped mileage. But then again I get better mileage than I did on my 2005 5.4 liter gas crew cab.
I haven't had any issues with mine. Its solidly built and has great towing power.

RE: Rude salesman

Looking to buy a new diesel truck. Salesperson who I bought two trucks from and the sales manager started a song and dance routine on a purchase. So I went elsewhere. After I bought my truck I drove into the old dealer lot, waved and flipped them the bird and drove off.

RE: Ford F350 with Dry Rot Tires

Go to Tirerack.com and check the price of tires on their website. They will ship them to you AND give you a few listings of their certified tire installers in your area.
It may save you some money, even with shipping. The funny part is some of their certified installers are the same tire dealers you may have gotten your quotes from in your area.
My local dealer wanted $195 per tire. Tire rack sold them to me for $125 each.
