RE: Equinox Sport or Just Equinox?

When we started our search for a toad the Equinox Sport was on our list. We were told that the transmission (6 speed automatic) is the reason the Sport is towable and the LT or LS models are not.

RE: new roof cost

We had a tree fall and a limb hit the roof of our Hurricane. It put 4 or 5 punctures about as big around as my index finger. Camping World is charging my insurance company $8936.80. This includes 9 sheets of Luan. (????????????????) The strange part is the price for the Bright Tek roof (35') is only $667.10...labor is $6867.00. Sure glad I have good insurance and only a $100.00 deductable!!!!

RE: Anyone using a 2009 Escape?

We took delivery on our 2009 Escape on Feb.17th...On March 14th we had the baseplate installed at Camping World.....it was scary to think we bought a new truck and a month later we were having it torn apart!!!! BUT, we had been using a dolly for the last 3 years and were looking forward to trying 4 down towing. After using the tow bar on our first camping trip I was sure glad we went to 4 down towimg!!!!

RE: Should I winterize or not?

"An ounce of prevention beats a pound of cure"
I live in south Alabama and I winterize...some people laugh at me...but two things I can count on....I never worry how cold it will get...and I never had to replace a broken pipe......works for me...it takes me 15 minutes and 1/2 gallon of the pink stuff. All I do is open the kitchen sink faucet, the bathroom sink faucet and the outside shower head. Next I drain the water from the water heater...then I attach the blow out plug to the city water inlet and using a portable air tank I blow out the lines. Next I close everything up and pour a cup of the pink stuff in the kitchen sink, the bathroom sink, the shower drain and then I pour some in the black tank through the commode and then put a cup or so in the commode...done...no broken pipes, no worries.....
