RE: Removing old vinyl decals from fiberglass

I used lighter fluid to presoak the decal then a heatgun and plastic scraper to peel off the decal. Lighter fluid on an old washcloth or papertowel then took off any remaining glue spots. I have taken off at least six sic decals this way.

RE: 2003 Chevrolet Silverado 2500hd

We had the '99 Silverado with the 6.0L and 3.73. Towed in 13 states with it (8200#s) and had no problems. Small things like the seat springs, radio light, etc are why we got rid of it. We gave it (186,000 miles) to our daughter and she hauls horses and livestock with it. That 6.0L is the most dependable, trouble free, and reliable set up I have ever had.

RE: Ford V10?

I have '06 F350 V10 and I tow a smaller 5'er, up to 8400#s. I'm very happy with it. It's overkill for the unit I have.

RE: How long of stay at Devil's Tower?

We did it in one day including the walk around hike a couple of years ago. Were we to go back we would stay overnight at that monument.

RE: Want an 8.1 but can't find one?

funny how people respond to posts and don't even read half of it. lol.
...but I did read the whole thing, I'm going with the "old age" excuse this time (lol)

Take a look at the Ford V10's. Lots of low mileage, good deals out there with the way gas prices are right now.

RE: Red Max Pro over Red Max Pro

After 2 years I stripped the RPM and rewaxed the 5'er. Not all of the old came off after two strips but when I put 4 or 5 new coats on it all looks the same. No weak spots or otherwise. The reason I had to strip it was because the RV place replaced some caulking and in the process had taken off the finish 4 to 5 inches from the edge of the RV so I had to do the sides over again. BTW I didn't have enough RPM stripper so I got some Ace Hardware floor stripper and it worked very well, possibly better than the RMP stripper.
