RE: Vandalism Police Report UPDATE

The BBB is worthless to complain to about a business...all the BB will do when you call to inquire about a specific business is tell you if there have been complaints, or not, on the business you are inquiring about - they will not tell you what the complaints are about...

RE: Love's no more

Most, but not all, ATM cards that you get from a credit union can be used at other credit unions and not incur a fee...as for our credit union we can go to any 7-11's convenience stores and get money without a fee of any kind...

RE: Love's no more

I can almost guarantee the $2.76 was for cash only...using the CC is usally 5-10 cents more at most, but not all, of the fuel stations around the US...this has been going on for about the last 2 years...unless you have been living in a cave since then you must of surely knew about this? One other thing...one "bad" experience (as you put it) makes you write off all the other Love locations?

RE: getting rid of the stuff

Start with everything that has not been touched in the last 12 months automatically gets tossed...after that with the remaining stuff either give to the family, toss or put in storage...if you can't decide if a certain item needs to be kept or tossed, toss it...

RE: New Trailer / Love's Truck Stops

When traveling we have stopped, and overnighted if needed, at the Love's truck stops on I-71 (exit 55) in Warsaw, KY, I-65 (exit 116) in Shepherdsville, KY and I-94 (exit #112) in Marshall, MI...BTW the Shepherdsville and Marshall locations have RV dumps...

RE: Ran My Diesel Out Of Fuel

When towing and the fuel guage gets to between 1/4 and 1/2 I start looking for where to stop which is never a problem on the interstates...have always carried 5 gallons of diesel when traveling and so far have never had to use it....

RE: MICHIGAN RALLIES for 2010

I am also open to suggestions of other places to go to...I was looking in the Adrian, MI and sourrounding areas but have not found anything so far that thrills me (save the comments on the Monroe KOA and Totem Pole parks - been there done that)...

Might also want to invest in some kind of surge protection for the entire RV to prevent this happening in the future...

RE: RV Repair for an unfortunate series of events

Tough question to answer...the dealer is stepping up to repiar the damage but as for the wetness behind did you figure out how much of the underlayment is wet? I would get with the dealer and find out how much is wet and what needs to be repaired and then sit down with the dealer and work out some kind of plan to repair the delamination (which you know is coming)...maybe the dealer is willing to work with you on the total cost to repair the delamination also?

RE: MICHIGAN RALLIES for 2010

I'm looking at a few different places right now...Clearwater Campground in Ortonville (thanks Mark) is an interesting option...also highly considering Camp Lord Willing in Monroe....
I will let everyone know when plans are finalized....tentative plan is sometime around the first or second week of May 2010

RE: Remote Start for Onan 5500

Actually there are many choices out there
1. Onan with or without temp inputs.
2. Xantrex
3. Magnum Energy
4. Solar Converters Universal Generator Start -basic no frills unit
http://www.solarconverters.com/product_frame.html
Under $300.00 at solarseller.com
5. Intellitec
Don't jump to fast to dispute what I said above...if you re-read what I typed that I assumed his genny was already built-in and if so the EC-30W would be his best choice since it is wireless...I stated that the 2 options were the only ones really available for his situation...I never said there were not other options but those involve some major rewiring...

RE: Remote Start for Onan 5500

I'm assuming you have the built-in Onan so your choices are:
(1) EC-30W which is a remote wireless started available for the Onan - supposed to install in 30 minutes or less - cost of $499 + $50 for a remote harness specific to your Onan model
(2) Xantrex also makes a remote starter but not sure about this one...
These are your best options since your Onan is already wired into your RV...
Future plans for ourselves will be the EC-30W...EC-30W

RE: owner financing

Sell it on a land contract which means: (1) you still own the house until the land contract is paid off; (2) you retain the ability to still write off the property taxes on your personal tax return (assuming you itemize); (3) should the buyer default you kick them out and start over...
