Loadmaster trailer tugs

I have a ten year old Loadmaster Tug that we bought for moving our FW around. Even though we now drive a MH we use the tug quite often for moving trailers around in the barn. Is the company still around?? I looked them up on the net today and the Fab-Shop website comes up but shows it has not been updated since '08. Also the phone numbers are all disconnected. Does anyone know if they were bought out or closed down. If they closed it is a shame as they were a great company to deal with and it is a great product.

tire wear with tow dolly

We tow our honda civic on a dolly and the rear tires are all chopped up. The tire shop that I went to have them rotated and balanced at suggested the car may need a 4 wheel alignment. (they don't do alignments) The tire shop has always been very good but I have never had a car with rear's having an odd wear pattern. Could it be that following along on the dolly caused the goofy wear or even that it is just because the front's only have 35K and the rears are at about 45K?
Thanks for any insight you may have!!

Fresh water tank overflow

We Have an 08 Winnebago 35J sightseer and when we fill the fresh tank the overflow seems to drain off about 1/3 of the water before it stops "overflowing". Anyone else have a similar experience? Seems to be a siphoning effect.

PEAK wireless back up camera PKCORC

My inlaws just bought their first TT and want a camera on the Back of it. How do you keep it powered full time as opposed to only when backing up. It seems to me that you should be able to wire to the house battery and simply keep it working full time like we do on our MH. My wife is always amazed at how much help I can get from this site so don't let me down now. Thanks!!!

RE: Itasca 35j bathroom sink

I'm glad we're not the only ones with that complaint. It takes a 4 inch faucet and we bought one at Lowes that I need to put in before our next trip.

RE: mileage vs engine hours GM question I need Help!!

Thanks folks for all the help. We returned the Suburban to the dealer this morning without issue and now have my truck back. In addition to the hour issue it turns out that the carfax folks had not documented several repairs that the dealership provided after we brought up the hour matter. Lots of things just did not add up.
Thanks again!

RE: mileage vs engine hours GM question I need Help!!

In looking over the carfax they gave us when we purchased it, it is strange that the dealership serviced the vehicle 11 times before they started recording the mileage on the carfax. Is this normal? We have never bought a used vehicle that had a carfax.(we generally buy new and hold on to the car for 8-10 years)

RE: mileage vs engine hours GM question I need Help!!

LEN Retired, In Northern Michigan, just about everything is an hour away and the slow people are running 55. My concern is that someone played games with the odometer side and that by figuring the hours at 50 mph into 2503 hours there should be about 50k on it. Just something doesn't add up.

mileage vs engine hours GM question I need Help!!

Last tuesday we traded off my 05 GMC pickup with 73k and about 1300 hours on it for a GM certified 05 suburban with 51k on the odometer. The dealer is a reputable GM dealer here in Northern Michigan but when I went to fill it yesterday for the first time, I Noticed that it also had an hour meter that showed 2,503 hours. This works out to an average of 20 mph over the lifetime of the vehicle. It was a local lease with the dealer. If anyone has a vehicle with an hour meter can you PLEASE POST your mileage and Hours so that I can get a good average before I talk again with the dealer Monday morning. I did call the dealer last night at home and told him of the possible issue and I do not expect any problem with returning the vehicle if needed.
We don't have any major cities in Northern Michigan so I don't see how the car would have spent hours idling at stop lights and in traffic jams.
Please help me out!
Thanks!!

RE: Motorhome Differential - What???

We went thru the same thing with our '05 Mirada on a ford platform. (Also had the dif replaced on our '01 ford super duty. Ford went good for the coach dif and we were told it was do to the unit setting on the lot and not being run. The front bearing was very corroded and it would rock with very little effort. So far our new coach ('08) winne has been great for 10,000 miles. (also on a ford platform)

RE: Brake Buddy system ... pros/cons???

Never had a Brake Buddy but we do have an "Even Brake" That has been replaced under warranty 3 times. Roadmaster was great about replacing it each time but Geez....... after a while you sort of loose confidence in the Brake box. It was simple to take in and out but we could only run about 8 hours before the toad battery would be dead as we had to leave the ignition in the on position. We quit pulling four down and bought a honda civic and a tow dolly with electric brakes and could not be happier. If anyone wants a good deal on a falcon tow bar and an Even Brake let me know as I don't expect to ever use either one again.

RE: Where to go in SC in April

For several years we went to MB for spring break and our girls loved it. This year we are on a quest to explore Savannah, GA. In MB we always enjoyed the shows. (Dixie Stampede was our favorite)

How do I change my Signature

I admit I am computer challenged but I figured I could at least change my signature without asking for help. Wrong!!!!!! Can someone point out how to do it? I was looking at our signature yesterday and realized that it still shows our fifth wheel.
Thanks!

RE: Traverse City: WIld Cherry, Timber Ridge or Traverse Bay?

We really enjoy the Holiday Travel Park out near Chum's Corners and the Ball park where the Beach Bums play. It is an Airstream park that is very well maintained and has a very nice lake. We actually prefer it over the State Park and generally stay there a couple of times a year.
