RE: which would you get?

Can I ask why you are not considering another Fox?

RE: truck beds for 5th wheeler

It's real interesting to me that there are people with long beds that tell you a slider is a must for a short bed. I don't know maybe they had a short bed in the past. I am another one that has had a shortbed for 7 years and no slider and never worried about buying a slider. One thing that I do have is an extended pin and in the camping I do, I don't need to do anything close to a 90 degree turn so I really don't need a slider.

RE: 5er

We have an Arctic Fox trailer and it came with shocks so we have very little problems with things moving around and never have anything break in our rear kitchen.

RE: New to Rving What will my 02 Silverado tow

Hey Terrybk,
You have a great combo there, Same as mine except I have a 2002 Chev. I pull that combo up and down all three passes here in Washington and it works great.

90 degree turn

So many people talk about getting a slider with a short bed so you are able to do a 90 degree turn with their trailer. I was just wondering why would you want to. Wouldn't a 90 degree turn just push a trailer sideways and not back at all what would be the purpose?

RE: Hypothetical question

If you ask them maybe they wouldn't mind staying longer than you. So take their rig down one weekend, The next weekend go down with your rig and stay and fish with them and go home after, and then the next weekend go back and move their trailer back home. if they are retired it may not make a difference.

RE: hitch and bed saver question

It confuses me when some of you say that you forgot to chock your tires and pulled the pin and could have or did damage your bed rails? There are a few things that I do before I pull the bar, Make sure the trailer is level, put out the chocks and lower the landing gears. Did you all forget both the chocks and the landing gear? If you forgot the chocks only, the landing gear would save the rails.

Washing trailer cover

Well it's getting close to the time we can uncover the RV's and I was wondering since part of my trailer is under a tree, that part of the cover gets real dirty, do any of you wash your rv covers and if so where?
Thanks

RE: hitch and bed saver question

Rancneal,
I have the same hitch that you have and you are correct once the bar is accross the pin you are safe. I always double and triple checjk that I can see the bar accross the pin. Don't get me wrong, the bed saver is good insurance, but In my opinion not needed in yours and my case. I have had my fiver since 2002 and no problems.
