RE: Good Sam RV Club vs AAA

we have AAA , Good Sam , and progressive and have been considering Coach Net Never short change 'towing options' we were towed twice last year and once 'so far' this year these would have cost over $2200 total if we had paid for it 'out of the pocket'

RE: Rest Areas Safe?

we full time we have have stopped in 'Rest Areas' many times to rest, nap, or sleep till day light never have we been 'in danger' yes sometimes there is an inconsiderate person with a diesel tractor idling all night or an RV'er who simply must have his genset on but thats life, i have been in campgrounds and had late noisy arrivals pull in and disturb our sleep and it seems they can't wait until morning to setup camp, they have to about yelling directions and then slaming compartment doors, spending at lest 30 minutes or more to do it

RE: Alternator Failure

i did the generator charger trick when driving a gasser with multiple belts won't work IF you break a 'serpenine' single belt, on a dp , even some gassers are single belt have to be aware of the belt and 'over heating' issues

RE: Delete new programs ?

I don't know if this is parsing words or not but it is very important to "uninstall" programs not "delete" programs. this is correct deleting the icon on the home screen will Not uninstall the program it will still be there and if it auto starts .. it will still be using resources the OP may have meant uninstall when he said delete however we can't be sure , until he tells us

RE: Electrical

30 amp 'shore line' intead of a seperate output circuit from the inverter or a transfer to swtich inverter power he is going to plug the RV power cord into the inverter he is Not going to use any shore power he will use the inverter like it was a generator i hope i made that simple enough to understand when doing this the RV charge converter Must be turned off or you have an endless loop power drain batteries powering inverter, inverter powering converter trying to charge batteries that are being used constant endless power drain

RE: Battery/electrical experts -- question on refrigerator

it's a residential fridge you don't need 24 hrs to pre cool it 2 hrs maybe less it will be at operating temp once you turn on a 120vac compressor fridge, the compressor runs until the fridge is cold and it does not take long want to run it overnight find.. no problem you have more than enough battery power

RE: Television confusion.

are you sure the TV does not have selection via remote menu input or source ant, cable, dvd etc.. that is the common method even on modern TV's for choosing a signal If there is only one cable plugged into the back of the TV, there would be no sources to select. just because there is only one cable does not mean the TV, does not have a dvd menu selection, If it is a built in Dvd if it is a stand alone dvd player, then there should be a switch box, manual or automatic

RE: Killed my solar panels.......

something is 'out of kilter' panels produce more voltage than the battery the controller was connected power should not have been in reverse flow thru the controller to pass thru the panels batteries produce more amps, but it takes voltage to push the amps i would look for blown out diodes and hope that is all it is what is the make & model of the controller
