RE: my air bag install chevy 1500 , lot's of pictures

:E:BEWARE ! They caused my truck's frame to split twice. Same truck , same bags , same mounting. Had the frame repaired, bags removed, & 60000 miles trouble free with my heavy Bigfoot & Supersprings With those bags , the entire weight of the TC is balancing on that bracket and the frame will split in two after you hit a few potholes. Those Hydroformed frames are too weak to withstand that kind of pressure Check this old thread with pics of a split frame (not mine)

RE: Used Bigfoot Campers ??

My 96 is still like new & it is stored outdoors... if you don't mind the rather cramped interior, you will love it for many years.

RE: Supersprings & Stable Loads together

Interesting, but I think it's OK with GM trucks. Lets get confirmation from Mark

RE: Jacks: Up or Down?

I keep my four jacks on each side of the bed in the overhead cab...wonderful for the COG and no risk of having some dummy knock off a jack with his car. In some cases I could be the dummy , like when I backed into a small hedge & tore off a jack , ugly sight.

RE: 2009, 141 nights traveling in TC plus Table of Cont

Is the low oil pressure normal ? I'd hoped to catch the odometer at 50,000 miles... missed it. Averaging 15.2 mpg for 51,000 miles is OK with me... Our truck is a crew cab 1 ton 4X$ carrying a 11'11" truck camper... gvw = 13,700 pounds. At least we'll know how much fuel will cost for our trip back to TN in August. http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c35/glasscrew/2009%20travel/DSC03563.jpg http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c35/glasscrew/2009%20travel/DSC03562.jpg

RE: Venetian blinds, Valances and such in TC‘s.

I love venitian blinds, even when your are in the sun, you can keep the heat out, and still have a bright interior & see out, easy to close for privacy, IMHO nothing comes close.
