RE: It happened again, theives broke into my toy hauler.

We have had ours broken into as well. Now it's at home and is Monitored by our home alarm system. It has motion sensors at the door and on the rear ramp to cover the rest of the trailer. I just need to remember to take the one off of the ramp before pulling out any of the quads or taking the trailer out camping. Full Alarm for home and toy hauler less than $800 installed. Monthly only $28.00 , Piece of Mind = Priceless.

RE: Air Bags for F450?

Timbrens also work well. I have used air bags and got tired of what pressure to use, leaking airlines, or busted brass fittings. I have had these now for about 5 years without any problems. Took about 20 min to install and forget about them, except for how much you love them. Less expensive than airbags, lifetime warranty, more load carrying capacity.(6K)

RE: Best brands/models of toy haulers

I love my Warrior, This is the 3rd one and I would buy another. That being said, I know they went out of business but support on the unit is now re established. Once they get back into full swing of making trailers again, I would not hesitate to purchase one.

RE: Whats the correct way to hich yout trailers weight dist bars

The way I do it is, once the hitch is on the ball, I flip the latch then raise the tongue(and back of the truck) up 3-4" or until my whimpy electric jack stalls out. Then I hook up the bars and then lower the jack. This places the preload on the bars. Thats the way I do it !!! Same way here also. Have been doing that way for years.

RE: Two winterizing questions.

I do use the air adaptor and blow out the lines, Putting AF in the drains. I have done this for several years now and no problems. We get down to low 20's and upper teens here in the winter.

RE: tying down quads

I have never tied mine down and not one problem in over 9 years of hauling them. The two up front sit sideways and then I run 2 side by side in the rear.

RE: How fast do you tow?

65-70mph highway & interstate right here is my speed, The truck seems to be most comfy here with egt's sitting at 800-900. Mileage is about 12-13 for out 450 mile trip.

RE: Loading a Toy Hauler for Proper Weight Distribution.

They are great trailers and work well. Just a little fine tuning as far as loading goes (or minor after market tweaks) and your off to a great time away from home.

RE: Loading a Toy Hauler for Proper Weight Distribution.

To RTOYZ: What are Timbrens? Also, do you think a rear sway bar added to the truck would help stabilize the truck. Hellwig makes a nice bar for that. Timbren They compete against air bags, they are an overload/assist for towing or hauling heavy loads. The thing I like about them is once they are on, you never have to adjust or worry about them, they also come with a lifetime warranty, carry more weight, and are less expensive then air bags.

RE: Loading a Toy Hauler for Proper Weight Distribution.

I have the FSW3200 and loading is simple. I put 2 atvs sideways all the way up to the kitchen counters, then two in side by side. If I pull the two up as far as possible, I have room for chairs, BBQ or other small light items. I also have Timbrens on my rear axle to help with the load going down the highway, With these I can even go without the sway, and have no issues at all. I can post some pics if you like.

filling water tanks on warrior

We went out sand camping last weekend and had a small issue. I filled the water tanks, for about 20 minutes (or so I thought) and left for our destination, The sand. When We got there, I only had 1/3 tank of water. The only thing I noticed different was that the valve by the steps. The one furthest under the trailer was not closed. The other is the one that drains them onto the ground, Could that be the reason only one tank filled?

RE: WW bed covers

We went to Linen and Things when they were in business and made a comforter to fit the same way the standard one did. At the ends where your feet go, My wife had to sew the ends of the Comforter to fit around the corners.

RE: Nitto Dura Grappler Tires

I have the Terra Grapplers and love them. I pull a 40ft hauler and lots of tread left at 20k on the tires.

RE: Need Advise on Air Levelers

I have had both the Firestone airbags and the Timbrens. I love the Timbrens and will never go back to the air bag. I sit level with my 40ft toy hauler and it rides nice with or without the RV in tow.

RE: HELP, Smelly Bathroom

you want a reaction to take place to clean out the tank. Baking soda has been used for years to get rid of smell. I have done this several times since then, Just don't be sitting on the pot when you do this (just kidding). It works well and there is no problem do to the tank not being air tight.

RE: HELP, Smelly Bathroom

I had the same problem at Lake Shasta in 110+ temps. The only thing that worked was a vinegar and baking soda bomb. Pour down a bottle of vinegar and then dump about 3/4 cup of baking soda into the tank. Problem solved.
