RE: Batteries overcharging

It sounds like you have an older converter that is over charging them.

RE: 12v electric.

You'd be hard pressed to find a schematic for even a new unit let alone an old one. They just run wires as needed and don't follow any true schematic.

RE: Help please!

It sounds like the converter isn't working at all. I would check the reverse polarity fuses in case you accidentally hooked up the batts backwards or a battery shorted internally. These (3 each) are separate from the other fuses on the panel.

RE: Good Sam's Insurance are crazy

The part about GS ins. covering stuff that a normal policy doesn't is pure BS. Ask you auto ins. agent about this and you'll see.

RE: Performance Chips for GMC

FWIW, it wont be a "chip", it will be a programmer.

RE: Axles

On your own trailer? Crawl under it and look at the aluminum tag affixed to it. Otherwise the label on the trailer that gives weights will also list it.

RE: 12V pump on idle??

I had a brand new RV do this to me. There's probably something in the pump itself causing it - all it takes is a tiny piece of foreign matter. Take the head of the pump apart and rinse all the parts off with water and reassemble.

RE: axle hitting frame question

No not normal at all. The first thing I would suspect is that it has the wrong axles under it. I've read of that happening before. There should be a silver tag around the axle with its ratings. I would make sure the info on the tag matches the sticker on the trailer. The next thing I would look for is broken leafs. Look for rusty marks on the springs. Good luck with your dealer, Scott

RE: TC Refrigerator advice

No, it should work better than that. Maybe it just needs some maint.

RE: When to use water pressure regulator on fiver?

Also to answer your second question, No, a regulator will not lower the pressure further than its set point even if the input pressure is only 40psi.

RE: How much HP & torque do I need ?

Since nobody has said it yet... You need a dually! ;)

RE: Time for a new A/C ?

You may have a clog at that point. As the fluid gets through it the pressure drops and make the tidy little ice cube. If you had a leak that bad it wouldn't work at all. Might be a nice time to upgrade to a 15K if you don't already have one.

RE: Fantastic fan, a mind of its own ???

They have great support so I would call them and they'll probably send you some parts to replace.

RE: Claiming a first come campsite

My understanding is that on a federal first come first served campground such as NPS or BLM is that unless you are ready to occupy you are not supposed to leave any thing to "claim" the sight. I don't know what to suggest other than that. We arrive and setup and done, if we don't get a "choice" site then so be it. I will say that it ticks me off to arrive at a site and see a lawn chair or cooler sitting there with nothing else. They are taking a site and not using it for a day or so and to me that just aint right. If you want to be the "first come" then set up and use the sight! Steve I've seen this a couple of times and I've always been tempted to move the chairs to the dump station :B

I can only imagine. If only you knew how she would react you could of had a camera ready!

RE: Holiday weekend

I see people make the comment all the time that CG's are just "too busy on a holiday weekend". Around here, every CG is booked full every weekend. So there's no more people at a given CG on a holiday than any other weekend.

RE: Converter/charger trips breaker

It doesn't matter which way you connect it. They just label them so people don't ask.

RE: CO Detector low voltage

Have you measured the voltage getting to it? Maybe there's a problem with the wire feeding it and the voltage really is low.

RE: Stay away from Bellemont/Flagstaff, AZ Camping World

Shameful way to treat a customer.

RE: Trailer Life Oops

The way they talked about some of those tires makes me think they have no real experience with the issue and that they just used the tire company's propaganda.
