RE: Ford 6.4 owners
I am back to the begining, the 08 dodge 2500 i was going to look at tomorrow was sold last night! this has been my issue for the last few months, when i find the truck i want i dont get to it fast enough.
So i must ask this question and please be honest i dont want misleading infomation! All the ford 6.4 owners what are you getting for unloaded highway mileage? have you been happy with your truck and if so how many miles do you have on it? I still keep looking back at a 08 f350 that i really like but have never owned a ford truck. The downside that i see with the ford when compared to the dodge 6.7 is it is only a 5 speed auto and has no exhaust brake.
You may not need the exhaust brake on the for due to the torq-shift tranny.

RE: Getting a couple more years out of an awning...
Camping World and probably others have a strong tape to use where the awning is cracked.
3" wide and 15' long if memory serves. $12.00

You should not have to remove the tank. The valve in question is on top of the hw tank. You should be able to get to it from inside the rv.

I must ask..why not get a battery disconnect switch and disconnect your battery. Periodically go out and turn it back on in order to charge the battery opposed to taking a chance on letting the battery run out of water thus ruining the battery.

On some of the slide motors there is a place for a cordless drill bit to fit. Use the drill with the bit in this slot to open and close until you solve the problem.

RE: front landing jacks
Check a fuse and or breaker inside the trailer. You mentioned the left side being of concern..is the right side working? If so it is not a fuse. You should be able to remove the top of the jack, where the shaft from motor enters thejack and see if the gear on top is functional.

It is probably filan not fiberclass glued to luan. Water has made the adhesive to fail. Expensive if you have someone else do the repair. Consider selling or tradeing.

I was advised not to use the Mercon V by a very good auto transmission tech. He suggested going with the dual usage fluid offered by a name brand supplier.
If you could find Mercon that had not sold in a auto parts store that would be great. I could not find any.
