Straight Shot Backup system - 2006 LTV

My back up monitor in went blank today. It's a Straight Shot and I've found out that this is common with this system. Has anyone replaced theirs?

RE: I promise this is my last question....altitudes along I-90

You shouldn't have any problems - just a short downgrade from the pass to Whitehall. Just slow down a bit and stay in the right lane with the trucks. As far as passes go, this is a little one.

RE: rapid city to Custer, SD

You'll have no problems. Been there done that - many times.

RE: How reliable is the rain sensor on a Fantastic Fan?

Ours also works great. We just set the temp and the fan speed and let it cycle on it's own. A few drops of rain and it closes. We like it.

RE: Niagara Falls

We stayed at the KOA on the Canadian side. Used the shuttle and didn't have to worry about parking. The Canadian side has most of the attractions and, in my opnion, better views of the falls.

RE: Onan or Generac?

We have a similar LTV that came with an Onan that runs on propane. Works great and I would think that your's is already wired.

RE: Sears? Heads Up

Sad.....They've already announced the closing of the auto center here in Bismarck. Sears had an integral part in the development of the Mid-West. The Sear's catalog was the only place you could buy things if you lived in rural America. Heck, you could even buy a house - there are many of them here in NDak. I can remember coming to town and stopping at the Bismarck Sears store to see what was new. Now their's 3 Walmarts, a Sam's Club and many big-box stores. I wish our children and grandchildren could have the opportunity to experience the simpler up bring that my wife and I did.

RE: Using diesel-formulated motor oil in my 2-wheeled RV

I used Rotella T in my Goldwing for years. Never a problem.....

RE: Utah route 12

I think it's one of the most interesting drives anywhere. I hope you continued on to Bryce!

RE: North Dakota/Montana Hwy. 12

The ground is too warm for any accumulation. It's been in the 70s with lows overnight in the 40s & 50s. It is possible to have problems but most likely you should be fine.

RE: OEM Propane Heater vs. Portable 1500w 120 V Ceramic Heater

We've been using a Vornado for several years and prefer it to using the furnace. It's much quieter and doesn't use up the propane. If you're already paying for the hook-up it doesn't cost a single penny more to use.

RE: Love a free, easy fix. Love good customer service even more

I've had a similar experience with Leisure Travel. I received an email response to my question the next day. I'm convinced, when we trade, it will be for another LTV.

RE: Class C or TT to RV with cats? Crate or no crate?

We've taken our cat on several outings this summer. She rides on my wife's lap or sits on the rear sofa when driving. I think she tolerates the driving , but really enjoys it when we arrive. We put her on a lease and she just wants to be near us all day. I also need to qualify this as I believe that this is probably the only cat we have owned that I think this could happen.

RE: Carlsbad Caverns vs Kartchner Caverns

I've been to both and there is nothing that can compare to Carlsbad's size. Carlsbad - BIG! Kartchner - little! Both are beautiful and worth a visit.

Try this site. http://www.recreation.gov/ It's great for finding all of those hidden places.

RE: MPG for class B models

I can pretty much drive the Rocky Mountains downhill without using the brakes much at all. It seems a little more difficult to do so in the Appalachians. I've also driven extensively in the Rockys and use the brakes sparingly.

RE: Hill City, SD RV Park Recommendations?

We've always stayed at The Beaver Lake Campground, just west of Custer. The Grand Kids have always enjoyed the water slide. We like it!
