RE: Both a/c's not working??

Each one is working fine, one at a time with tv and lights on. The cheater box is to allow us to run the 2 airs at once. Not much in it to go bad. We need to investigate more but for now we aren't using the surge protector and just running the one air. Thanks appreciate all the thoughts!!

RE: Both a/c's not working??

Okay here's an update. Dh turned the gen on and both a/cs worked! So now we are in elimination mode. He took off the surge protector and is checking out the a/c's to see if it's causing anything.
UPDATE:::
The a/c is working fine without the 50 amp surge protector? Only running one air because we only have 30 amps here. We do have a cheater box allowing 50 amps but one is better than none.

RE: Both a/c's not working??

Thermostat is on 12 volts, (think that's what my dh said) voltage is good, no problem there, surge protector reads 120 volts, thanks. Haven't tried running them with the generator, someone parked right next to us and don't want to blow them away with diesel.

RE: Air Conditioner Issue

marbilupton, funny, we are having the same thing happen with both our a/c's. I posted in here too. I will keep an eye on your posts as well as my own to see if anyone comes up with a good reason. We did reset our thermostat by following this from another post.....Posted By: ac650 on 09/21/11 08:30am
I'm a retired Telecom and computer tech. Sounds like you may have a communication problem in the RJ-11 jacks. To test comm integrity, start with the on/off switch OFF on the comfort control unit. While holding both the Mode and Zone buttons down, turn the switch ON. The display should show "FF". Release the Mode and Zone buttons. If comm is OK the display will show both units in the off mode. If display shows "EE" there is probably an issue with the RJ-11 wires/jacks but you could have a bad board in one of the roof units. RJ-11 jacks are infamous for poor connections. Telecom guys HATE them!

RE: disability hearing???

I agree wny_pat, being on the job with others relying on you to perform your job efficiently is important. There are a lot of people that just go with it and put others in jeopardy. Sometimes there is other work that can be found but not so easy when you are up there in years.

Both a/c's not working??

Yesterday afternoon when we turned on the a/c it started up and went off. Both of them doing the same thing? The thermostat is a Duo therm comfort control, 5 stations. We reset it and still nothing. Goes on for a minute or so or less then just shuts off.
Seems like both compressors are acting like locked rotor amps. Going to have to check the compressor windings and start capacitors. Any other ideas out there? We're hooked up to shore power which is fine.
We have a 2004 Tropical. Thanks for any feedback.

RE: Little tiny bumps on wall????

There is nothing on the roof that looks like a water leaked from anywhere. Took another look at the bumps and noticed they don't start from the ceiling, they start in the middle of the wall??? :h paper above and below is fine?

RE: Little tiny bumps on wall????

Our first thought was a water leak up top. We will be checking out where it could be coming from. The bedroom air is adjacent from the bathroom. Maybe condensation found a way out through there...:( Thanks!

RE: Little tiny bumps on wall????

Mold?? you mean under the paper there is mold? Wouldn't it be discolored? How would it get there? Just the toilet and the sink in there. YIKES, I sure hope you are wrong but thanks will look into it further.

Little tiny bumps on wall????

Camping up here in Mt. Lakes and while blowing my hair dry I noticed some tiny little bumps under the wallpaper on the wall of the bathroom where the window is.
Never noticed it before so it is new. It's only in one spot, kind of going from the top down in a crooked looking row; if that makes any sense. They don't feel soft, like air or water is behind them, they are hard little clusters. Any ideas out there?? :h

RE: Blind Dog

our little pom has gotten worse over this past year. We are camping right now in Mt. Lakes and we were here a few months ago. Our KC couldn't handle the steps this time. It just broke my heart. My husband and I have been picking her up to put her in and take her out so this post was right on time. I never thought to ask questions. Both our dogs have harness type leashes and they do give you leverage if they start to fall. At 85 pounds you better make sure you have something to hang on to also.
KC navigates around the house but we did notice a change when she couldn't see the baby carrots on the floor. We give her them for treats when she gets her shots. Now we have to hand feed her. :( I do keep an eye on her levels. I noticed she was drinking a lot of water and took her blood, it was close to 300 so we upped her insulin and she stopped guzzling. The best of luck to you.

RE: disability hearing???

True, too many people beat the system. Some people are so savvy when it comes to getting welfare and disability. I wish they'd put those smarts to a better cause. My neighbor has about a year and a half to go for social security but his disability made him stop working now or it could get worse. He would have been fine if he could have kept working another year.
Grumpy, just be happy it's not you that needs it. That's how I like to look at it.

RE: Is there a cure for a smelly washing machine.....

I have always used the Tide or Affresh. Our front loader has a cleaning cycle too. I think I will do the bleach though it would be a lot cheaper. Leaving the door open is a good idea too.

RE: What we need for Father's Day

Lost my Dad in 2006. He lived with us for the last four years which makes it harder. He was a gentleman and a gem. Miss you so much Dad.:(
