RE: HOOK UP SEQUENCE ?

Hi: You must have small bags to have a max pressure of 50psi, but if that is the case and you start with 35 unloaded then I would say you are blowing them up. You should put only 10 psi in, load your camper and then bring your pressure up, and if the max is 50 then do not go over 50.. Mike

RE: HOOK UP SEQUENCE ?

Hi: Putting 35 lbs in before will not damage the bag, the question is once you are loaded what pressure is the bag, are you going over the 100lb max? The bag pressure will go up once you put the weight of the trailer on it. When not in use you should keep at least 5lbs in them to keep them from damage, but I don't think your damage would be from under pressure. Mike

RE: Do you take yours?

Hi: Why not, there is some games that don't require to much rocking of the camper, you may want to get a different bumper sticker that says- IF THE CAMPER IS ROCKIN, WE MIGHT JUST BE ON THE WII:W Mike

RE: leaks and more leaks LANCE 1181

Hi: The restoration companies I work with say they have up to 3 days to get things dry before mould is a concern, I would get some heaters in there and some fans real quick, get the temps way up keep some thing open to let out the humidity, remove as much trim inside around the area to let the heat and air get in. Get on the roof and find where the water came in, look at your antenna, also remove the inside grill for the a/c, the gasket could be bad or the bolts holding the a/c down might not be tight. Mike

RE: 2001 F350 DRW rear-end ratio questions

Hi: I guess that a standard does not have a tow hall switch? I have test drove with different gear ratio's and there will be a big difference in gas burned with the 4.30's or lower. As for the not enough power with the 3.73's look at my sig, I am rolling at around 17k and I don't use my tow hall switch very much. That being said we have hills not mountains, but when traveling through the states without the boat I still have lots of power for the mountains. Mike

RE: 2001 F350 DRW rear-end ratio questions

Hi: No need to say what has been said above but, if you are going to get rid of the 3.73s and drive over 60 on the hiway your gas milage is going to go down quit a bit. I could see backing under with a standard being some fun but don't know if the lower gears would help enough... Mike

RE: High capacity fuel tank for F350?

Nice, but they seem very low to the ground. Mike

RE: another honda rack

Gotta mention the Wheel Horse tractor! I grew up cutting grass and snowblowing with one of those. My dad still has it, just won't die. Built like a brick. Love it. Was happy to see someone else still had one. I too noticed the wheel horse, I have an 1986 version 12hp over worked and still going strong.. Mike

RE: lp tank switch over

Hi: I have found in different campers over the years that a tank will switch over faster if it is under heavy load near the bottom of the tank. This would happen if I was using the bbq, hwt or the furnace, I could switch it back and it would continue to run the fridge or stove for a while longer. Mike

RE: Escape hatch REBUILD!

Hi PJ: You never told me that you did a front window conversion? I am assuming that is your rig. What is that you put in there and is your front window completely gone? Thanks Mike

RE: Truck camper bed area circulating fans (install with photos)

Hi Bruce: Good idea, it will also help push the humidity out of the bunk area. Mike

RE: Quadzoo Rides Again, a Thanksgiving Trip to Anza Borrego

Hi: we try to blast around like you do on the bikes but we can't find any of those desert flags, that and we don't have a desert. All kidding aside my hole trip was because my friend just bought a 2010 polaris 500 and wanted to go for a ride, it had 2 miles on it when we arrived, he knows what we do up there, he wanted to test it for any rattles or leaks, think we tested it for all, he finished the weekend with 36 miles on it. RE: Quadzoo, Up here we don't need no soft sand

Mr Whazoo, I still think you should come up for a ride, I know you southern types are scared of the cold, so come in the spring when it is warmer but the water is usually a little higher and the mud flies a little better. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v503/fast5/2007132_1.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v503/fast5/IMG_2025_1_1.jpg My gosh fast.5, you must have some body parts made of cast iron, impervious to cold and rust-proof. Right you are, some of us drink a lot of Zebart and Antifreeze upon our return to camp at the end of the day.:p I don't have any warm clothes LOL It is not so much as the warm clothes but the way that you apply them. You would be amazed at how warm and dry we are after a day like that just by knowing how to use Gortex and Electrical tape:B Mike

Quadzoo, Up here we don't need no soft sand

and warm temperatures to have as much fun as it looks like you had. We were out this weekend having our own kind of fun, and we did not become traders with a toy hauler because it never would have got there. Some day I will get down there where you are but for now I will have to settle for this.. Your temps I am guessing 80f with short shirts and all, our day time temps 20f and night 10f and about 1 foot of snow. Want to come up here and give your bikes a try? Bring some warm clothes...:W Mike: I should add that we just don't have any soft sand at this moment:) http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v503/fast5/IMG_2785_4_1.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v503/fast5/IMG_2809_1.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v503/fast5/IMG_2806_1.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v503/fast5/IMG_2799_1_1.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v503/fast5/IMG_2819_2_1.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v503/fast5/IMG_2828_1.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v503/fast5/IMG_2820_2_1.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v503/fast5/IMG_2821_2_1.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v503/fast5/IMG_2804_1.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v503/fast5/IMG_2823_2_1.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v503/fast5/IMG_2834_1.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v503/fast5/IMG_2833_1.jpg

RE: niknas inspired ladder mount bike rack mod

Hi: That is the best one I have seen for a bike to ladder set up. If anyone is looking and does not want to use the ladder I have done two like that set up on different campers, as seen here, more pictures on my web site. Mike http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v503/fast5/2004_0808_143513AA.jpg

RE: Winterizing Reminder

Hi: I have always used air on my lines, and I check the pump strainer to make sure it is empty. I always add just enough antifreeze to the fresh water tank to allow it to run out the drain. On the lance the drain line is 10 feet long. Mike

RE: Inverter- converter charger ?

Hi: Thanks everyone, I have a genny that goes through one transfer switch already, was trying to come up with the smallest solution as possible, but I guess I will have to go through another ATs or spend way more on an inverter with one built in. Although any of your sugestions will work for me, I have a wife;) Thanks Mike
