RE: Who has replaced Dometic awning?

Check out www.rvparts4u.com
They are offering a discount right now on A&E (Dometic) Awnings.
I just missed the sale and purchased from PPL Motorhomes.
I got mine for $199 with free shipping (18 footer).

Fleetwood/ GM/ Workhorse parts

I have a 2001 Fleetwood Flair.
I am looking for a Vent-Defroster Grill.
I have the part number but cannot find the part anywhere online.
Does anyone have an idea of where I might look for something like this.
It is plastic. Mounts on the surface and is about 20 inches long. I need two of them.
Any help would be appreciated.

RE: refridge fan????

I have used both. The battery operated fan works wonders inside the fridge. For the price, it is, without a doubt, one of the best aftermarket purchases you could make.
Since I got tired of keeping batteries on hand, I have since installed a PC case fan inside the fridge and one outside in the fridge flue area. In 100 degree weather, the fridge now works almost as good as the one I have at home. Both are switched with a single switch inside the coach.

RE: Air Filter CFM

I was thinking about routing the intake tube from the engine directly towards the front of the coach. This would require only one 90 degree turn. All of the wiring(Mass Airflow Sensor)would reroute perfectly.
I thought about some sort of box but was really unsure of the design.
I had not factored in the noise. 1fastdad Thanks.
Thank you all for the input. It's really got me thinking now.

RE: Air Filter CFM

Fliposo
I have had a bad experience with Four Wheel Parts. They are not an option for me anymore for anything I buy.
Triker33
The information you have provided is exactly what I was looking for. Thank you very much.
All other replies
The stock air intake on my rig is far from efficient and it allows water into the system.
A factory made air intake is cost prohibitive. I can buy the parts and make my own for less than half of any factory set-up.
Considering that my stock intake has 5 bends in it pretty much sums up the fact that it is inefficient by design.
The system that I would make will have 1 ninety degree bend and the filter will be up above the actual hood opening rather than directly in front of the front wheel being subjected to direct water spray.
If all of this works out, I will try and post some pictures for all to see.
Thanks for all of the input and opinions.

RE: Air Filter CFM

Regardless of your personal opinion, can you answer the question ???
I am dealing with a water ingestion problem during the winter. Keeping the stock set-up in place is not helping the problem. I am simply looking at options and seeking accurate information rather than personal opinions.
Thanks for the reply.

Air Filter CFM

I have a 2001 Fleetwood Flair. 8.1 liter motor.
Does anyone know how many CFM the stock air filter is rated for ??
Thinking of installing a DIY Cold Air Intake and want to make sure to get the proper size air filter.
Thanks

RE: NADA value vs. reality

NADA Guides are simply that. A Guide. Anything you sell is only worth as much as someone is willing to pay you for it. Good times or Bad.
There is no secret formula. Simply scour the newspapers and internet to find units similar to yours and use that as a starting point.
Good Luck.

Windshield Washer Parts

I have a 2001 Fleetwood Flair.
The plastic fitting for the windshield washer tubing that comes through the front of the motorhome broke. Aside from designing my own replacement out of parts from the local Ace Hardware, does anyone know of a website that sells such fittings. I could not find anything under the search feature and I have not inquired at a local parts store as of yet.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.

RE: New Mexico Highway 371

Well, we made the trip on NM Hwy 371.
It is basically a road in the middle of nowhere. Very poor road conditions for 3/4 of the trek and road construction near the end. Considering the abuse the coach took, I doubt it was worth saving the 100 or so miles rather than taking Hwy 550.
The total distance is only 139 or so miles but I would not want to be stuck out there alone.

RE: Follow up on Progressive Renewal

I use Explorer RV Insurance and they have also done the same for me. I used NADA Guides as my value reference.
