RE: Steam Cleaning Carpet in MH

We use an Orek shampoo system and have had great results and dries very quickly. I belive in more frequent and lighter cleanings. Had a pro come in at Lazy Days and was very disappointed with results. Too hard on the carpet. Looked better when we cleaned it ourselves when we got home.

RE: GPS Disappoints

I have had the Garmin 7300 and now the Dezel 560. I have used them and depended on them coast to coast and north and south with no major issues. Sometimes I do not agree with their conclusions although I am sure that the route suggested was the shortest. I do not rely blindly on the GPS. However, while Approaching Goshen Fairgrounds this summer, The Dezel took me on the truck route which concluded with a no truck street segment. Fortunately I missed the sign and the cops.:E Overall, Garmin is the industry leader and the one worth the bucks. IMO

RE: Chevy Cruze on a dolly?

It scraped even after you where on the ramp. Just to be clear. Many cars that set low you can just set a 2X6 in front of the ramp and that gives enough lift but in you case you might need a dolly that has a lower carrier base or have one modified, One other thing I can think to try if you really want to use this car and a car dolly and that would be to try to load it on a dolly after you let air out of the tires on the dolly then reinflate after its loaded. It's just a thought. Good Luck That would really S&#k to have to let the air out of the tires every time you loaded the car. Now carry a compressor to re inflate. I would tell GM to buy it back or trade for something that can accomplish what you want. After all you bought it under the premise you could tow 4 down. Why should GM buy back the car? Where did the OP state that GM or the selling dealer told him it could be towed 4 wheels down? The OP made a mistake and he must suffer the consequences. No where did I read that the OP was blaming GM or the selling dealer. The OP is just looking for a reasonable solution. I think some tow dollies are designed to tip to allow easier loading. You may want to investigate getting a tow dolly that tips. Some tow dollies may also have longer loading ramps that may help eliminate the interference. Ray Actually GM did originally rate the Cruz for 4 wheel towing and I suspect it was stated in original manual as such. Believe some dealers worked out an arrangement.

RE: fleetwood roof systems

All American and Rev coaches have fiberglass roofs and all Fleetwood DP brands 2012 and newer. That's a fact, Jack.:)

RE: Broken Window

Just get the pane replaced...not the whole assembly. Local auto glass or glass companies should be able to direct you to the rightf sources. Much cheaper than factory.

RE: Route from Finger Lakes to Maine

If you are going to Portland, you will add many miles and days to your trip going through NH and VT as there are no "direct" east/west highways. This would be considered a side trip in my estimation and the scenery in southern NH is not any better the scenery along I 90. If you have the time and don't mind two lane, winding roads than take the longer route and plan at least one additional overnight. Just the opinion of a former Mainiac. :)

RE: St.Paul East (MN) RV Park

There are at least 4 OTHER choices in the twin cities metro area. You should have checked RVparkreviews to finds them. All the others are very nice.

RE: Traveling alone with a Class A DP

In a class A I am always relying on my co pilot for right side clearance before pulling out on highway...especially if the intersection is not a perfect right angle. Be careful out there solo.

RE: Are super centers worth the trip?

I haved always believed that the product you buy is only as good the dealer who will be servicing it on a timely and efficient basis. After staying a at mega dealers campground and need to use their service facilities I have made two observations: 1. they took more time looking for other billable items (one day) on my out of warranty coach then the time require for a simple 20 min. repair; 2, talking to people who purchased from them a six month wait for warranty service was not our of the question. Again, the dealer and the brand, are only as good as their service. Buyer Beware.

RE: Dash AC poll....

Our DP ac is adequate. If temps are in 90's or we are stopping soon, I may turn roof AC to pre cool bedroom down. Dash heat is miserable in the winter.

RE: South Dakota best route from Springfield Ill.

Although no major hills accross IL to SD, you will be climbing elevation the entire stretch and opposing prevailing winds all the way. Forget about miles per gal or running cool engines. Travel early in the morning for easiest pull.

RE: Interstate 70 feedback

Don't take the climb into Estes Park for granted. Can be very long, hot and tedious. Don't ask how I know. It does not meet interstate grade standards.IMO

RE: What is the "Flatest Route"?????

You also will want to be very diligent on descending these passes. Keep your gearing down and speed down. Auxillary braking is encouraged.

RE: South Dakota best route from Springfield Ill.

I suggest I-55 to I-155 to I-74 to I-80 to I-29 to I-90. This route avoids the toll section of I-90 at Rockford. It is also the most direct route from Springfield. There is only one toll booth in Rockfoord and you can pay online without stopping. It is a nice senic route and you will enjoy the view through Wisconsin and MN river valley!

RE: Coeure d'Alene ID and Missoula, MT RV Parks

We really liked Blackwell Island in ID and found the Koa in Missoula to be acceptable for overnight. Actually the KOA was very helpful when we experienced a mech issue.

RE: sofa replacement

Most Rv couches are disassembled for installation and removal which is another plus for Rv designs. Many choices at Rv salvage stores which are new pieces.
