RE: can 1 set it up?

I set mine up by myself! I suprised the family. LOL. I am almost 40 and weigh about 250#. I made my mind up to figure it out and did it. It is easier than putting up a tent. I would suggest making a small checklist of things to do. Level, put jacks down, crank up, pull out beds, put all velcro in place, ect. Then make sure you go through steps to hook up electricity and water properly (i.e. put the pressure reducer on the hose). I would much rather do it alone that way I don't have so many hands "helping". Now, next step for me, learn to back it up! Look out open road!!!!:B

RE: Bracing under AC

Thanks for all the advice. We just got it set up again (it has rained like crazy here). The bed was wet! We had it covered and it was still wet. We are going to get another seal and see if we can replace the old one. It was replaced two years ago as my FIL thought that might be the problem. I am going to see if we can really pack some pillows under it when we put it down. We don't think we can comfortably remove and do without. It gets pretty hot and muggy here. I will try and get pic when we make repairs and may be posting for further advice. Silvis Family Louisiana

Bracing under AC

We purchased a 2003 Coleman Sedona by Fleetwood from my inlaws. The roof has leaked from the manufacturer. The ac unit is HUGE. We took a 1,000 mile trip on interstate (which was very rough) and ran into rain about 30 minutes from home. Of course the ac leaked. The inside around the ac is bubbled up. I'm sure the paneling is rotten underneath. We keep it covered and seldom was used when it was raining. I think we need to put plywood or 2x4's under ac and under braces across roof. I believe it was a design flaw. There is NO WAY the roof was built to support the kind of weight of this ac. Flimsy metal and paneling (not plywood) is not going to support this unit. Going down the highway it really takes a ride. Can anyone give me advice on how to do this. There are metal braces across the roof but they don't come near the unit. There are two across the inside of the roof. Any pictures or instructions would be most helpful. We have to keep ac because camping in summer here (Louisiana) is unbearable without it. Thanks Diane
