RE: WW FK1900 - Can't find out what one of the switches does...

How do i get into the wall of the rv? Are the panels removable?
Should be, aren't there screws on the face of the panel? Mine is accessable from the back via the TV cabinet.

RE: Fuel stop planning

Does anyone make a pickup truck bed tank that is divided? I'd like to have half diesel and half gas for the RZR and the generator.
I think you can get some that are like that, I know I see work trucks on occassion with two pump nozzles, one on either side, assume its for gas and diesel. Would be quite bulky and heavy though.

RE: ?WW coiled water hose pin holes?

My trailer has the same hose. I use it occassionally and it works great. Works wonderful for my misting system. No leaks other than the usual leak at the hose washer or pressure nozzle they supplied. Once I have one I couldn't do without it, much more convenient than the outdoor shower.

RE: Dec 12,2009 rider appreciation

here's the flier you were referring to for the Saturday "Fun Day", just came up on the D37 board:
http://district37ama.org/raffle/
As you will see we're raffling off a brand new KTM 450 and there will be plenty of fun stuff to do. If you've ever wondered what motorcycle desert racing is all about come on out and check it out, you WILL have fun.

RE: Fuel stop planning

I added a 32 gallon aux tank in the bed of my shortbed Duramax. Bought at Northern tool online. It drains into the stock filler hose. Does take up a good portion of the front of the bed but I don't use the bed of my truck for much other than pulling. I usually pile firewood on top of the diamond plate tank. Now carry upwards of 60 gallons. Went on a 1065 mile vacation and filled up twice, the last time just my main tank to make it home. My buddies gasser with stock 36 gallon tank was looking for gas everyday, sometimes twice.

RE: Jaw Bone Venue

yea, one couple in our group had to work the friday after New Years last year. They went home late New Years day, left their trailer/toys there with all of us and returned the following night. If you're in a group with people you trust you could do that, wouldn't ruin the entire weekend.

RE: Necessary Accessories

What suggestions do you have for things to stabilize the trailer?
Hands down get the JT Strong Arm Stabilier aqnd the best mod I have done. Once installed your TH will be rock solid and not move, rock, etc. no matter how "rowdy" you get inside :-) This is one of the few products I have seen that actually does everything it claimns and the quality of the components is second to none.
These are getting so popular and have proven how well they work that some of the manufactures are starting to install them on the higher end toy haulers at the factory.
Link to manufacturer http://www.jtrv.com/our_products.html
Tweety's has one of the best prices I have seen for these and free shipping.

Another vote for the stabilizers, best accessorie I've installed hands down.

RE: Bounce and bump ?

Isn't just "Chucking" which is pretty normal with a fifth wheel with a standard hitch/gooseneck?

RE: Thanksgiving

This will be the first year ever in recent history the Nay family will not be in the desert for Turkey Day. The BIL and I are riding L.A. B. To V. Dual Sport ride.
For the uninformed that's the Los Angeles to Barstow to Las Vegas Dual Sport. 500+ miles in two days on dirt bikes! We start in Palmdale on Friday, ride to Barstow for Friday night, then to Vegas on Saturday. Staying at the Orleans and coming home Monday. For any of you that have plated dual sport bikes this is THE epic event. Riders come from all over the country and the world to ride this event, this will be the 26th annual ride.

RE: TV Big problems need some help

The truck brakes got pretty darn hot but it stopped the whole load and I was going 55 plus when the computer announced- "Hey dummy- you got no trailer brakes cause your an idiot and left a heavy cooler loose in the bed."
That's impressive, that grade on 395 is a tough one, up or down. I always get on the binders early on that one to be sure they are there. Next time just keep going straight, would be safer and you can pick up Randsburg road up a little farther.

RE: Flat tire question?

practice with the tire changing. for the first try I would get a heavy duty tube, not ultra heavy duty as they are harder. Take your time and take little "bites" on the tire when putting it back on to avoid pinching the tube. A little baby powder inside the tire helps as does some soapy water on the tire bead. I've changed so many tires/tubes I couldn't begin to tell you how many. I've also pinched my fair share of tubes!

RV guy told me to put a flea collar in the area and the spiders will not hang out there anymore.
That sounds like a good idea for the refer. as well! Have had problems with the buggers building a web in the burner tube.

RE: Battery cutoff

If you're plugged in Bob the refer. works with the batteries disconnected (12v supplied by the converter). If you're not plugged in you need 12v to the refer for the gas to work.

RE: Battery cutoff

If it's pulled out and you have 12V lights, then it's "on".Push it the other way and see if you have no lights. Then you can label it for on/off.
I had to do exactly that, couldn't remember from one time to the other, made a little label that says, "out is on" for under the switch. Love the Brother label maker.

RE: Battery cutoff

I have one, use it when I'm plugged in for a period of time, keeps from overcharging the batteries since I have the piece of junk converter/charger. If you have the IOTA with the add on or float charger you should be able to leave the switch out (out is on).

RE: Good Bye Yellow Brick Road....(So Cal Style)

As Bob stated we need to be able to share PUBLIC lands. This means we need our share of land to recreate on and the non-motorized public gets their share to "protect". Unfortunately all we see is less land available for OHV use, while the sport is in fact growing. We cannot allow more land to be taken away, we've already given and given.
Or as an anarchist friend of mine recently said, "fine, take away all the land, when I have no place to ride, I'll ride anywhere". Unfortunately that's where we're heading if we contiunue to loose the lands we have. Is that what the Leaf Lickers/Tree Huggers want? I don't think so. As a matter of fact many are coming to realize that very fact and are supporting our fight to keep areas open.

RE: Onan Troubles

CloudDriver, Thank you! That's a huge help!
While you have it disconnected I would take a bucket or gas can and see if gas drains from the hose, you may have to suck on it ala a siphon to get it started. If it flows freely then you don't have a restriction in the line between the tank and filter, although there still could be slight kink that wouldn't show up without suction pressure.
