RE: A Snake

it could be that a mouse ran up the cord and the snake was in hot pursuit. and the mouse is still in there and made a nest. You might have to look inside the furnace to make sure.

RE: Yellowstone travel

yellowstone country is high country. lots of snow, the later the better, give the snow a chance to melt off.

RE: People setting up in your campsite

I always thought that in a park whether it's a state park or private the sites are designated and they are told to camp or park in a certain site.

RE: Help me brine a turkey!

Alton Brown from food channel says to use one pound Kosher salt and one pound brown sugar. use warm water to dissolve the mixture and then use 3 qts water in a bucket, put bird in, no bags, and then put in 3 lbs of ice over the bird, cover and soak at least eight hours. pat dry with paper towels and cook

RE: Jayco Mattress

RV manufactures use the cheapest rottenest mattress's they can find. You are better off sleeping on the floor

RE: What kind of chairs do you use for outdoor seating?

we have the director chairs and the recliners now, I also have the bag chairs that are hard to get out of, I throw them all into the back of the truck and go camping, I sit in what ever I get to before the kids do. I do like the directors chairs for sitting in while eating. easier to get out of when you are going for seconds

RE: The trip from hell......

the good side is you made it home in one piece by being aware of your situation. About two years ago a large family from Washington had a bad wreck in Utah and all but one died while driving in a wind storm. I think you did the right thing by pulling off every now and then and taking your time. four days is nothing compared to the rest of your life.

RE: Extra Long Sewer Hose

good idea about the sewer solution, that's what I use in my yard, I bought two lengths of pvc pipe and hooked it up and it goes right into the side of the clean out tube in the back of the house.

RE: My wife has me worried now...

reminds me of the sale they had up near Seattle on some city transit buses, many around here bought them and only one made it to a completed conversion. the rest are sitting behind barns in the fields rusting away. lot of work, hope you are up to it.

RE: Suburban Water Heater Anode Replacement

they are common size, or one size fits all. when mine gets too tight, i use an old trick, try to tighten it just a little, that usually breaks it free easier than trying to just loosen it. either that or get a big long breaker bar and a socket size 1 1/16th

RE: Adding second battery to TT

the batteries need to be, the same age, same size, same group, same type. If you add a new battery to an old one, the old battery will draw the new one down to it's condition and you will not get the most out of the two, you will always be the same as you are now with the one battery.

RE: H1N1-If you saw what I see daily, you'd be really careful!

I don't know if I should try to get one or not. One Dr said yes you are a risk and the other I just went to yesterday said NO!! Guess I'll wait and see how the government works out the shortages.

RE: What size Dutch oven?

I've only had one dutch oven and that was years ago. I think that out door cooking always tastes better when you are camping and so in my opinion, the larger the better, or more food to enjoy.
