RE: Lazy Days Salesman
Most RV sales people crawl out from under a rock to greet you.....and it only gets worse from there. It's good to know the Lazy Days team is some what human.
RE: Using "maneuvering" position on slider
My Curt slider only requires pulling the slider handle and rotating it 10 degrees. It will lock into 'maneuver' position. I manually lock the trailer brakes while driving forward slowly and the hitch will slide until I hear that distinct 'clank' and watch the handle lock back in the vertical position ensuring the hitch is locked in place. The opposite procedure to slide the hitch back into 'Tow' position for travel. Very easy and very quick. No disconnecting or farting around with landing gear etc.
RE: Hide-a-spare
Excellent idea. I went to the Website for pricing but couldn't even find the product number. Anyone have an idea what the msrp is for this?
RE: Miles per day
I've done 600 miles a few days in a row headed down south. Not again. I limit my dirves to 7-8 hrs tops and stop every coupla hours to top the tank and drain the bladder.
RE: Handheld Remote control for awning, rear jacks.slides,etc.?
I use mine for hitching\unhitching and coming back after dark. It's a 'double remote' built into one controller. The top portion of the key fob controls the awning and patio light. The lower section controls the slides and landing gear.
RE: Fifth wheel investment
It's disposable like a car or truck, not to be considered an 'investment'. Enjoy your trailer whichever you decide on but realize it will depreciate to nothing in 20 yrs.
