RE: Help! First Timer, Should I walk Away?

At that price You will likely get several Years of enjoyment from the Rig and still be able to sell it or trade it in without losing much.
We bought a 90 Southwind with a similar de lamination problem , enjoyed it for eight trips to Mexico from BC , Canada. Sold it for fifty percent of what We paid.
The current owner is still using it nearly five Years Later!.

RE: Tires

Too Rich for Me! I have New Double Coin Drive Tires and Continental Steers. They run just fine and cost Me a lot less than anything that I have seen on this Forum!
I was a long term Michelin Fan, but they priced themselves out of My comfort zone.
We put about Ten Thousand Miles a Year on Our Rigs!

RE: Front End Caster vs the Shopping Cart Caster

Our Toad tows very well ,but sometimes when making a series of long sharp turns it doesn't want to follow the leader and the front wheels dart back and forth like those on a shopping cart!
To correct the problem I just Stop....Back up a few feet...stop....then pull forward! This always makes the wobble go away!

RE: Both a/c's not working??

Check the J?? Telco Jack and Plug on the Air Conditioner. They are somewhat exposed and do corrode. Both Jack and Socket were ruined on Our Front ( Main) AC . had a bit of a problem finding the socket part ,I think I eventually sourced one from Tyco or Allied Electronics!

RE: Toilet hand spray?

Yes! It is a universal Sink Sprayer Hose and Nozzle!
However have You checked that there isn't a crack in the white plastic splitter T or whatever that thing is called. Ours acted the same way as Yours ,it had a tiny crack that opened up just enough to drip whenever We connected to City Water. I guess that the on board pump wasn't capable of developing enough pressure to cause it to leak.
Also check those hose clamps. They sometimes strip and can't tighten properly!

RE: Lights that do not work

There is a chance that a wire has either been cut or burned through. The fuse could then be replaced but would not blow again if the circuit was in effect open!
You need to check each and every one of the fixtures and switches that are not working and look for a break in the circuit.

RE: Two things we notice

I worked at a private RV Park for a couple of Season's. Yes there were many Slobs , just chalked it up as Job Security for Me!
We always cleaned and raked the sites as soon as they were Vacant.
The Moto was " Here's Your Hat ...What's Your Hurry"
It always amazed Me at how resourceful some Campers were at rearranging things to suit themselves!
Often the Picnic Tables got shifted from one side to the other, and would You believe that they even moved the Fire Pit several Feet from where They were dug into the ground.
All in a days work !
Having Garbage Cans at each and every site helped some with garbage ,however there were times when it seemed like even those were not big enough for a few folks. I think that they must have brought their garbage from Home.

RE: Electric fuel pump on 1990 pacearrow 460 v-8

Our Old 1990 Southwind Carburated 460/JD had that external Holley Red Fuel Pump and Spin on Fuel Filter. You could hear the Pump Prime or Load up whenever the Key was turned to the On Position.

RE: Pro's and Con's of Driver side door?

Had one on the Old Gal, I used it a lot at Fuel Stops and it was nice to have the extra exit in an emergency. It was not all that easy to get in and out ,as I get older I'm pretty sure that I would have used it less and less.
Our current rig doesn't have one,so yes I miss it!
I think that the DW would like Me to not be crossing in front of Her seat to enter and exit the door!

RE: Aftermarket Tach for 454 P30

It came with complete instructions and plenty of illustrations!

RE: Who made my baseplates?

Those look to be Roadmaster! There is a Curved "Adaptor" that goes in each side which brings the attachment points up and in front of the Bumper! Makes for a cleaner look when the Tow Bar is removed.

RE: Ladder/chair rack

We used to hang a seven foot Step Ladder on the rear Ladder Our Old Rig because there was no enough room underneath to carry anything longer than about three feet.
I used a pair of U Bolts to make Hooks that worked very well. A couple of Bungee Cords kept it from flapping around.
Our current DSDP has more than enough basement storage so We no longer need to use the rear Ladder for this purpose!
Do whatever is necessary to accomplish Your Goals, just do it safely!

RE: Shaw Satellite Coverage Changes

As long as You have an Internet connection You can reach Shaw Direct and Troubleshoot most problems. You can also do a Signal Refresh , and if necessary learn how to do a factory reset!
It is seldom really necessary to speak to a real person!
If the Box is actually broken then yes You are screwed!
As a post script to Crandle ....If You use Skype. .....the Number is really screwed Up!

RE: Strange PayPal happening

Depending on the value of the goods in the box, the original shipper may not even want the thing back.
PayPal has already debited them for the money paid and credited the Old Fellow in Florida!
They may or may not issue a pickup slip!

RE: Ipad won't work on CG wifi

We have found that there are in fact some locations that Our I pads do not connect to the available WIFI! Since We also have an Acer Win 7 Notebook Computer, We usually just use it instead.
Last Winter I installed Connectify on That Laptop which works like a charm. it allows Us to use Our IPads even in places where they won't connect directly!
We have had as many as 7 different People online at one time via Connectify and Our 4G tercel Internet Stick!

RE: Cummins Service??

Don't judge every facility guilty just because You happened to be let down by one!
That said if You do have a legitimate complaint You should be taking every step possible to bring that to the attention of the Senior Management of the Establishment in question!
If it is a Genuine Cummins Shop there must be a Manager of Corporate relations that You can contact with the documented details of Your Complaint!
I have always found that regardless of the situation most companies have someone with whom to discuss the problem and are willing to resolve any issues to the satisfaction of all concerned.
