RE: Onan Marquis 5000 quits after a while?

OK figured out how to change fuel filter from outside. Remove hose clamp, than hose and unscrew filter. Will see!! Thought I had it fixed without doing this. Sprayed Carb cleaner in air intake. Before and while it ran. Was running good. put a little load on it. Was going to celebrate by having a beer. No trophy. have to replace the filters and try again. Getting to old to craw under these things anymore.

Never ran 84. But I-40 is a piece of cake. Monterey is just down the road from Crossville.

RE: Which batteries power in dash radio?

All my MH's had a switch on the dash. To run the radio off the chassis or house batts. With ignition off. See if radio still works. Than look for a switch. Not sure how your would be labeled.

RE: Onan Marquis 5000 quits after a while?

Wrong Lane So how did you get to the filter? Can not get my hand on it. Let alone 2 wrenches. Stupid design on Onan's part. Put something that needs to be maintained. Hidden in a corner.

RE: Am I Lazy? Need to Wash the RV

The hardet part is getting on/off the roof for some of us. I use Tide to wash the rubber roof on my FW MH 's. Nothing else.

RE: Onan Marquis 5000 quits after a while?

I will have to try this. Mine just started stopping after running for 10/15 min without a load. Tried putting a light load on it. Like an air compressor and circular saw. Same thing. Would stop. When it would stop. It sounded like it was trying to speed up. As if it had a load on it. Going to try some carb cleaner also. Trying to figure out how to remove fuel filter from outside. No way I will fit these hands in that tiny filter location from inside.

RE: Hamburger Press

You do not want to over compress the patties. Just enough to hold together. They will be more juicy this way.

RE: Hamburger Press

Take 2 small bowls the same size. I weigh the ground meat into 5 oz balls. Put the ball in one bowl. Than press the other bowl inside the first one that has the meat. You can make the burgers any weight you want. Get a helper it will go fast. Each patty will be the same.

RE: plastic leveling blocks - What Do You Think?

I have a set of the plastic ramps also the stackable blocks. Blocks I use for pick-nik tables mostly. Getting rid of the ramps. Just made another set of wood ones. Plastic ramps do not have enough foot surface for my liking. Trying to get a pic. here. But keep getting double pics. http://i463.photobucket.com/albums/qq355/RVTEN/Aspect%20Upgrades/RampSide1.jpg]http://i463.photobucket.com/albums/qq355/RVTEN/Aspect%20Upgrades/RampSide1.jpg

RE: Kingdome/Directv question

Do you have 2 cables from the Dome? One is the Main. Which is what the Dome gets its info on. Other conn. is AUX. We use a DVR with these 2 cables. So make sure both your rec. are set for DirecTV and 18" round dish. Also make sure Dome is set for your location. Check map for your area. Also go to KD web site. For more help.
