What park would you go camping at mid July for about a week? Would prefer to have mountain biking at park or close and water. More activities the better. Don't want to travel more than about 200 miles from the greater DFW area. Never been to Inks Lake SP, so we're thinking about that.
Thanks Dan. I assumed that since I posted in the HTT forum those were the only people posting solutions. Still though, I got some new ideas to look into. I'm also thinking I may be able to look at a futon mattress as an option.
If anyone has anything else, please let me know.
Looking for some opinions here.
The "queen" mattress is not as firm as it used to be and we're looking for some solutions. My first thought was an air mattress under it, but this would put you to high in the bunk. I also thought about those ultra thin one inch roll up air mattresses but they are about $40 each and would need two. Does anyone have any suggestions on what we can put under the mattress to give a bit more cushion without taking up a ton of space when storing it? Is there a better solution we're not thinking of? I don't want to dump a ton of money into it if possible.
We camp in ours all summer long and can just about freeze the place out. I'm not sure how cold we can get it, but it's enough that it's not uncommon for us to turn it up a bit at night. We have an 01 25ft before we open the pop outs if that helps
Wife and I have been thinking of becoming Park Hosts over the summer. We're unsure of what it would be like to camp in a hybrid for an extend period of time. We haven't had longer than a 5 day trip so far.
